It's been extremely rough weeks for Meredith. She had to stay home while they were investigating. It brought back so many bad memories of her being bored out at home that she had decided to work on the stuff for their baby and her pregnancy.

She had looked online to find some extra stuff, besides what they'd reuse from her pregnancy with Emma

She was wheeling around the house, trying to find some of her old pregnancy clothes so she could ask Derek to carry the box to the laundry room.

Eventually she had decided she was done with this. She grabbed ice cream, a bunch of pillows and blankets and installed her on the couch with some movies but she couldn't just lay here. She got back into her wheelchair, bringing her ice cream with her and making her way over to her office. She needed to figure things out.

She and Derek had worked very hard to collect as much as possible against whoever was responsible but they couldn't find a thing.

The lawyer has set up meetings with everyone. Meredith had talks with everyone but nothing

And now the lawsuit was getting so much closer and it scared the family.

Meredith was rubbing her stomach as she was now two months along. She was under so much stress that she asked Addison to monitor her extra

She was supposed to meet up with her right now but was too lost in her case that she didn't hear Addison entering the house

"Meredith?!" Addison's yelling finally pulled her out of her thoughts

"Oh- Addie-" Meredith turned her head. "Hi." She sighed exhausted

"Hey. How long have you been sitting here?" She frowned.

"I don't know." Meredith sighed sadly, about to burst into tears

"Hey, come here." Addison pulled her in for a hug. "I'm so sorry. But the truth will come out. Derek's now being interrogated." Addison rubbed Meredith's back as they hugged but were interrupted by Meredith having some spasm. "Okay enough. Time for you to lay down. Go to bed and I'll check you out." Addison said, knowing Meredith's spasms only started when she was tired or had been sitting too long

"Whatever." Meredith muttered and wheeled up to her bedroom, quickly getting herself on the bed

"Okay, let's get you really comfortable." Addison said. She placed a pillow underneath Meredith's legs, starting to rub them out gently so they'd calm down as they were still acting up

"You know it will eventually pass by." Meredith said a bit harshly

"I know." Addison sighed, recognizing Meredith's bad mood as she knew the blonde better than anyone

Flashback

Meredith and Derek were about to board their plane. It would be their first trip with Emma as she was crawling now and they thought it was the perfect timing to travel to Seattle

"Derek- Can you carry her?" Meredith asked. She was nervous. She hated traveling since her accident, everything took so much more energy and there was always the risk of getting her chair damaged or lost

"Of course. Come here, princess." Derek lifted her and placed her into his lap as they were waiting to board the plane. They had gone through the hell of security where they even ask if Meredith couldn't stand up for a second because it would have been easier

Eventually they were led on the plane, boarding as first, her chair got taken away and she, Derek and Emma were now in their seats

After about an hour Meredith's back was starting to bother her quite a lot and Emma refused to sleep. She seemed to be full of energy and kept jumping on her lap

"Em-" Meredith groaned as pain shot through her back

"Okay princess, it's time to come to me." Derek frowned and lifted her. "Can I help?" Derek offered. He wished he could just massage her back and let her lay down for a bit but these crappy chairs were horrible for her.

Time went by extremely slowly for Meredith and she finally felt some relief at they announced they were about to land any time soon.

"We're gonna be out soon." Derek tried rubbing her neck, Emma still hopping in his lap

"I need my chair.." Meredith muttered, hating to see everyone passing by and staring why they're still sitting down

"I know. You can lay down in the car. Mark is picking us up." Derek kissed her head

Finally after much waiting it was their turn. Derek was carrying Emma and their bags while the staff of the airline helped Meredith out in the aisle chair

Meredith looked at her wheelchair, knowing she'd have to make the transfer and hoped everything would go smooth

"Great-" Derek said as she transferred and helped her with one arm as he was carrying Emma.

"Thanks." Meredith muttered and they started moving

They were waiting for their last bags. Derek almost felt guilty. He saw his wife suffering while he tried to figure out how to take care of the bags and their daughter who was finally starting to fall asleep

"Hand her over." Meredith said as she saw her husband struggling with the luggage

"Are you sure?" Derek asked, not sure if Meredith was really ready since the carseat could be quite heavy on her legs

"Yes. Give her, please." Meredith said and they did so. Eventually making their way out when they saw Meredith and Addison

"Hey guys!" Mark walked up to them, helping out with the luggage

"Hi baby!" Addison immediately kissed Emma's forehead. "Sorry we had to fly out before you two. We had so much work to do."

"It's okay." Meredith said. Mark and Addison immediately knew she wasn't okay.

"Can I take my little niece?" Addison offered to carey the carseat

"Yeah." Meredith breathed loudly and they finally started leaving the airport, about to see Carolyn and Christopher
