"She's all ready to come home." Derek finished dressing their daughter after a week in the hospital. They had stayed so long because Grace and Meredith both needed to get strong enough to come home
"Can you help me? I'll take her on my lap in her car seat." Meredith asked, scooting over to the side of the bed, ready to transfer but still taking it easy
Derek helped her into her wheelchair and placed Grace onto her lap
"Be honest, who's waiting for us at home?" Meredith asked
"Just our family and Alex. Don't worry." Derek kissed her head. "Are you ready to go home?"
"Yeah, finally home and all 4 of us reunited." Meredith nodded, Derek started to push her out and to their car. He started by buckling in their daughter while Meredith got herself in the car
Derek drove home, his hand resting on Meredith's thigh as he often looked into the mirror to check on Grace
"Oh god.." Meredith chuckled as she saw the amount of cars parked in front of their house
"Only three. If you're too tired we can always send them away." Derek eased her and parked the car on the driveway. He got out and helped Meredith into her wheelchair and then placed the baby in Meredith's arms
"Hi princess, ready to meet our chaotic but loving family?" Meredith chuckled softly and she let Derek wheel them inside
"Welcome home!" They all said as Meredith, Derek and Grace entered the house
"Sissy!" Emma ran towards them
"Easy, let's go to the couch." Meredith kissed Emma's forehead and pulled her in for a tight hug. She maneuvered herself and handed Grace over to Derek so she could transfer
"Mama, can I hold sissy?" Emma asked
"Wait princess, I'll help you. Just like we do it with Tommy, okay?" Mark stepped in and took the little girl on his lap, placing some pillows down so the baby would be safe and supported
Derek took Grace out of the carseat and placed her down in her sister's arms
Meredith teared up as she saw her two daughters together
"Congratulations. She's really amazing." Carolyn softly said
"I'll get her bottle. Addie, do you need one as well?" Derek asked.
"Yes please." Addison smiled
"Wait, I'll help you." Christopher got up and came along
"How have you been feeling?" Carolyn asked Meredith
"I'm doing okay. My scar looks great." Meredith looked at Addison, really grateful that her friend was around
"Look at us and look at our kids." Addison smiled as she watched the three kids

Meredith had been wheeling around the house all afternoon. Derek and her had been very busy with both Grace and Emma
"Do you wanna take a nap? You shouldn't overdo it." Derek rubbed her shoulders softly
"Later. Emma is begging for me to play with her." Meredith said
"I got an idea. I'll ask her to watch a movie with us on the bed." Derek said and took off to find Emma
The little girl had spread all her toys around the room
"Hey monkey, what are you doing?" Derek chuckled at the mess his daughter had made
"Daddy! This are the toys sissy can play with! But not with these, please." Emma showed
"Well that's very sweet of you, honey. Can we tell mommy? And maybe watch a movie in the big bed together so we can all rest a bit longer." Derek suggested
"Yes!" Emma giggled and ran out of the room towards the kitchen where her mother was. "Mommy! Mommy!" She launched herself into her mother's arms
"Easy, dont get yourself hurt-" Meredith hugged Emma.
"Watch Fwozen!" Emma giggled softly
"That sounds like a very good plan, let's get ourselves installed on the bed." Meredith nodded and wheeled to her own bedroom behind Emma
"Let's hope Grace sleeps a little longer." Derek kissed Meredith from behind and the two of them got into bed
"Mama! Frozen!" Emma giggled
"Yes monkey, I'll put it on." Meredith chuckled at her daughter's enthusiasm
"Shit-" Derek groaned as they suddenly heard small cries through the baby monitor. "I'll go check on her. You two start on the movie." He assured them. He didn't want Meredith to transfer again as she was still healing from giving birth to their daughter and had clearly missed spending time with Emma
Emma and Meredith cuddled close together while Derek went to prepare a bottle for Grace
"I missed you." Emma muttered in her mother's arms
"I missed you too." Meredith placed a kiss on the top of Emma's head
"Don't leave again, pwease." Emma clutched her mother's shirt tight into her small little fist
"I'm not leaving, honey." Meredith assured the worried girl
