"Meredith, you're indeed pregnant." Addison said as she was doing an ultrasound
"Addie- This can't be true-" Meredith shook her head
"It's very true. Look at the screen, watch your baby." She smiled softly and showed the screen
"How far along is she?" Derek asked
"Around 13 weeks." Addison said and kept checking. "Do you wanna hear the baby's heartbeat?"
"Y-Yeah." Meredith nodded softly
"Here we go." Addison smiled and let the ultrasound start but started frowning
"Addie?" Meredith whimpered
"Is anything wrong?" Derek asked his friend
"Mer.." Addison was scared of how to say it. "The baby's heartbeat is slow, but here you go." Addison nodded and immediately made some pictures
"13 weeks.. how?" Meredith muttered
"You went through a lot.." Addison meant the shooting, surprised the baby made it through that much stress
"Can you- Can you see what gender-" Meredith carefully asked
"I can. Derek, wanna hear?" Addison smiled
"Yes!" Derek smiled, but couldn't shake off his worries as the heartbeat was slow
"Congratulations, you're getting another girl." Addison smiled and turned the screen for them to watch
"That's crazy.." Derek kissed Meredith's forehead
"Mer, I'm doubting if I'd admit you for some days.." Addison said and sat down on the side of the examination room
"You're concerned about the baby.." Meredith muttered
"I am, yes." Addison was being honest with them. "Her heart rate is too slow, I wanna see if anything changes."
"If that's what's best for our girl." Meredith nodded and moved her hands to her stomach, rubbing it softly as she tried to understand what had happened
"Can I ask Mark to pick up some clothes for you?" Addison suggested
"Derek, can you go? And pick up the girls, please?" Meredith asked him
"Of course, I will be quick." He said and moved his hand to Meredith's belly. "I'll go now, do I bring us some dinner?"
"Please." Meredith nodded
Derek kissed her lips softly when he started to realize they'd have another baby girl
"You're pregnant.." He smiled widely
"I am." Meredith giggled. "But wait with telling the girls or- I-" She muttered
"We'll tell them together." Derek promised and kissed her head

A while later Meredith was laying in a hospital bed, she was still trying to take everything in
Meredith kept looking at the monitor that was showing how her unborn daughter was doing. The more she looked at it the more concerning she got
"Come on, little one.. We need you to be really okay.." She muttered against her own belly
"Hey.." Addison walked inside, she had heard her friend earlier
"Hey." Meredith nodded. "Addie- Be honest, will I lose her?" She asked absolutely terrified
"I don't know, Mer. I don't know.." Addison walked over to her, hugging her friend
"Derek was so happy-" Meredith teared up. "We can't lose her.."
"I'll do everything I can." Addison hugged her tight, despite her own swollen stomach
"Momma!" Grace suddenly ran inside and Meredkth wiped away her tears
"Hey honey." Meredith smiled, unable to lift the girl onto the bed
"Sorry, she started running once they told us what room you were in." Derek said as he walked in with Emma who was holding his hand
"Mommy!" Emma ran up to her mom. "Is everything okay? Why are you here?" She asked
"We need to tell you something." Meredith said, not taking her eyes off of Derek
"What is it?" Grace asked as she fidgeted with Meredith's IV that she had gotten with some extra fluids
"Guys.. We're expecting another baby. You two are gonna be big sisters.' Derek smiled
"Really?" Emma gasped and smiled widely
"I want a baby sister!" Grace quickly said
"Wel luckily for you it's a girl." Meredith had to laugh and hugged her daughters close to her chest, kissing each of their heads as she tried to imagine how their life will look with three kids
She was very sure she would need a new car to make sure they all fit, it would be lots of planning bjt she was excited, she saw how the girls were super excited and Derek hadn't stopped smiling since
She just needed to make sure the baby stayed where it was for 6 more months..
