Dream's POV

We waited for a second. Then Tommy frowned. "Nothing's happening. I think-" He abruptly fell silent.

George's waist grew slimmer and so did his arms and legs. George looked startled, opening his mouth to speak. "Am I getting thin-" he stopped and gave a half-scream. "Did my voice just get higher?"

Tubbo snickered. "Yes. Wait..." He looked into George's eyes carefully. I followed Tubbo's gaze.

George's pupils had grown slightly bigger, giving him an innocent look. His left pupil slowly changed colour to a light turquoise-blue that sparkled in the light.

"Your eyes... they're beautiful," I breathed in awe. George blushed, then realized what I said. "My eyes? What changed?"

He tried grabbing his phone from the pocket of his pants, then shrieked when he noticed his fingernails. His nails had somehow dissolved into his skin and now the middle of his fingertips had been slit open, his fingernails reappearing there instead to resemble claws. As he eyed his hand and flexed his fingers, his claws retracted and extended. "That's cool, but why are they grey now?"

"Not exactly grey," Wilbur observed. "More like a cloudy white. It's nice-looking."

"What animal am I? Why is this DNA shit so slow?" George ranted. As he spoke, I noticed his teeth getting sharper. "Uhh... George?" I said. "Your teeth are sharper."

"What?" George looked at me incredulously, then closed his mouth and immediately opened it again, wincing. "I bit my own tongue."

Quackity and Sapnap's mouths dropped open. George glared at them. "Stop making fun of me-"

"We're not!" Quackity and Sapnap protested. "Your head has two bumps on it. We can even see it through your hair," Karl pointed out, saving the former two from George's wrath.

"WHAT?" George had barely said before two fluffy triangular ears popped out of his head, bone white.

Wilbur grinned. "I know what he's turning into."

George didn't have time to reply as his eyebrows furrowed and he whirled around so his back faced us. I watched in amazement as a tail curled out of the waistband of George's pants. The tail was fluffy and white, the shade of snow.

Wilbur smirked. "There's the tail. Now, meow or something."

I snorted at that. "Shut up," George glared at me, then sighed. "I have to go see the clinic now, right?"

"Yup! Can we come along?" Tommy asked as Tubbo hopefully looked at George.

"Nope," Wilbur deadpanned. "Dream, you're sending George over, right? Can I come with? Explain what happens."

"Sure," I responded, grabbing my car keys and walking to the door, George and Wilbur behind me. I tripped and stumbled, the keys falling out of my hand. The keys fell near the sofa, where they were risked to fall under the chair where we'd have to move the whole thing away to take the keys.

George sprinted past me and grabbed the keys, his body in an awkward angle from acting abruptly with no time to prepare. He stood up and grinned, shaking the keys in his hand. "Being a half-animal has its perks. I can react so fast now!"

Wilbur rolled his eyes, smiling. "OK. Showoff."

"No."

"What do you mean, 'no'?"

"Stop arguing like children, let's go!" I said impatiently, grabbing them both and dragging them to my car outside. "Bye! Tell us everything when you guys get back!" Tubbo shrieked. Tommy grunted glumly in an attempt to show his enthusiasm and his disappointment at being left behind.
