Third Person POV

-two months old-

"He's so cute!" Karl swooned, lightly booping Oliver on the nose. Oliver looked mildly startled at first, but then started smiling. "He's smiling!"

"Really?" Quackity threw himself on the sofa next to Karl. "Oh my god, he's smiling!"

The two practically melted into a puddle as they happily talked to the two-month-old baby, who excitedly tried copying what the men were saying. "Gaaaa!"

"Awww," Karl giggled, looking at Oliver, whose eyes were laser-focused on him. "Do that again! Gaaaa!"

"Baaa," Oliver said, louder now. "Baaaaa!"

"My turn!" Quackity gently and quickly snatched Oliver away from Karl. "Hi, Oli!"

"Baa baa baa," Oliver babbled, not paying attention to Quackity. "Aaaa!"

"No, no, Oliver, look here!" Quackity attempted to get Oliver's attention and succeeded, the baby now staring up at the ravenette with large, curious eyes. "Baaa?" Oliver asked.

Sapnap lost it and started laughing. "George, Oliver is a goddamn sheep-"

"No swearing," George snapped, and Sapnap shut up, not before saying, "He's still too young to speak."

"Give him here," George barked out the order, and Quackity quickly gave Oliver to his dad. Nobody was risking angering George, not when he was still extremely protective over the newborn. It was a miracle that they were already allowed to hold Oliver.

George's snappy tone turned sweet and cooing as he talked to Oliver. "Hi, Oli," he whispered, nuzzling Oliver gently.

"Baa."

"You're just a baby sheep, aren't you? A lamb!"

A car horn loudly honked outside, and Oliver blinked, his eyes wide, before they welled up with tears and a little cry tumbled out of his mouth.

"No, no, Oliver, don't cry," George shushed, tucking Oliver closer to him and gently rocking him back and forth. "It's OK, Oli, please don't cry."

Oliver wailed; his tiny face screwed up as tears rolled down his rosy cheeks. George grew more stressed as Oliver's cries grew louder. "Oliver, it's alright, it's alright."

Dream abruptly appeared out of the kitchen. "Here," he rushed, giving George a pacifier before going back to where he came from.

Oliver quickly quietened down as the pacifier was gently put into his mouth. Dream returned with a bottle of warm milk and put it on the coffee table in front of George.

"Thank you," George smiled up at Dream.

(Sapnap, Karl and Quackity left soon after that.)

-six months old-

"Look, Daddy is back!" George spoke to Oliver, bouncing the baby on his lap. "Wanna go say hi?"

[a/n: friendly reminder not to sexualise the word daddy! :) alright you can continue reading now <3]

Oliver perked up at the sentence and squealed as Dream came into his field of vision.

"There you are, Oli!" Dream put on his baby-voice, picking Oliver off of George and pretending to eat the infant's nose.

Oliver squealed with laughter, a bubbly, adorable sound. "How are we today?" Dream asked, smiling.
