Genevieve sat on her bed doing homework and heard her phone chime. She picked it up and saw a text from Taylor come up.
I miss you, Elizabeth. -T
Genevieve couldn't help the smile that crept up onto her lips when she read the message.
What do you want, James?
I can't text my wife? -T
We aren't married...yet.
YET... Which reminds me, have you chosen our wedding date? -T
Not sure yet.
Cold feet? -T
Grounded. Kinda puts a delay on it.
I'm guessing your dad wasn't happy about us skipping? -T
That explains the being grounded part doesn't it?
Haha I guess so. Does this mean I can't see you anytime soon? -T
Well Taylor will still see me at school. But James will have to wait a while.
James will wait as long as he needs to. -T
Is that so?
No one could ever replace, Elizabeth. He's crazy about her. -T
That explains why he was crazy enough to propose with a flower ring.
He would've proposed with a rock but he lost those out at sea unfortunately...-T
Genevieve softly laughed at the message.
I can't with you.
So how are you feeling? -T
Are you asking Genevieve or Elizabeth?
Genevieve. You didn't seem too happy during the meeting. -T
It's stupid. Don't worry about it.
Genevieve, Just tell me. You know you can talk to me. -T
I guess I was bugged about Casey.
The dancer? What did she do? -T
It's not her. It's about Bryan cheating on me with her.
I thought you didn't even like Bryan? -T
I did at first. I thought he was a good guy. I felt guilty cheating on him the first time, only to find out he was cheating the entire time. It hurts when I think about the fact that I had genuine feelings for this dickwad at one point.
So you feel used? -T
I guess in some way I do. I feel stupid about believing him.
You couldn't have known. We didn't even know. - T
I wonder if this was my fault. Maybe my mom was right. If I wasn't out doing something with someone who wasn't my boyfriend I wouldn't be in this mess.
