Nan HuaiLin quickly calmed down, and began his performance. He bent down and rubbed Hannibal’s ugly, ugly bull face, as he smiled and said, “It’s been a long time, and you still remember me? I’m really touched.”

Hannibal stuck out his tongue to lick his hand. Fei Cheng watched them with a confused look. “What the hell is going on here? How can my brother’s dog know you?”

Nan HuaiLin changed his shoes, and walked into the living room. “It’s a long story. Let me have a drink of water first. I’m dying of thirst.”

Nan HuaiLin breathed a sigh of relief, and went straight to the dining room. He opened the refrigerator, got a bottle of mineral water, then asked in a loud voice, “Do you want something to drink?”

Fei Cheng replied, “Coke!”

Back in the living room, Nan HuaiLin threw the Coke to Fei Cheng, sat next to him and drank two sips of water. Then he said, “Back when we first met, I offended He DingHong because of something. I was going to terminate Ming Xi’s contract. Both because I had no scenes to shoot, and I was short of money. Assistant Ruan was so nice that he gave me a trial period as a housekeeper.”

Fei Cheng was surprised. “So…You worked at my brother’s house as a housekeeper?”

Nan HuaiLin nodded. “But only for four days. Because there was another opportunity to act, I quit my job as a housekeeper.”

Fei Cheng felt a few faint, strange feelings in his heart; vague and indistinct. He couldn’t quite grasp or understand them, and made him a little uncomfortable.

“How come I’ve never heard you mention it before?” Fei Cheng asked.

“I had nothing to tell you about it,” Nan HuaiLin said with a smile. “It was just a small thing that wasn’t worth mentioning.”

Fei Cheng took a sip of his Coke, looked at him and said, “Did you meet my brother during the days you were working as a housekeeper?”

“No.” Nan HuaiLin’s heart was pounding, but his face didn’t change. “Assistant Ruan said that Mr. Fei didn’t like to see outsiders at home, so I always went there after Mr. Fei went to work and left before he returned.”

He paused and added, “I’ve been in Ming Xi for so long, but I haven’t seen Mr. Fei once, so I’m curious about what he looks like. Show me.”

“Not as handsome as me. No need to look.” Fei Cheng put down the Coke. “I have to go back to the office. Do you have something to do this afternoon?”

It seemed he’d successfully fooled him about the past. Nan HauiLIn’s anxious heart slowly calmed down.

Nan HuaiLin nodded, “Yes.”

Fei Cheng gave him a questioning look, but Nan HuaiLin didn’t intend to say more, just drank his water.

“Okay.” Fei Cheng sighed, stood up and walked out. “I’m leaving.”

Nan HuaiLin followed him to the entrance, and watched him change his shoes. “Come back early after work.”

“Yeah.” Fei Cheng didn’t want to go to work at all. He just wanted to be with Nan HuaiLin now. However, that person didn’t understand anything, so he had to go and be bored to death.

After Fei Cheng left, Nan HuaiLin breathed a huge sigh of relief. He rubbed Hannibal’s head and said, “You almost killed me. Why do you have such a good memory, huh?”
