Albert woke up to his twin daughters, Isla and Ellie, jumping on top of him. He smiled and pulled both of them into his arms. "Good morning, Princesses." he picked them up and brought them downstairs, putting a shirt on when he got to the living room.

Elmer was in the kitchen, preparing breakfast for his family. "Good morning, Albie! Did you have sweet dreams?" he asked, kissing Albert's cheek, causing the two young girls to tell them how gross they were being.

While eating her breakfast, Ellie had gotten up from her seat next to her sister to get some water. She smiled as Albert stood her on the counter and helped her get a deep purple cup. The cup had a crack in it, but the girls loved the purple cup, so who were Albert and Elmer to refuse the cup to their girls?

Albert and Elmer were talking about the day's events when they were interrupted by Isla storming out of the room, seemingly mad about something. Albert and Elmer exchanged a glance and Albert followed his daughter.

"Hey, Isla, Sweetheart." he knocked on the bedroom door and opened it slowly. "What's wrong, Baby?" His tone was soft as he sat next to his daughter, rubbing circles on her back.

"Daddy, today was my day to use the purple cup and Ellie lied and said it was her day to use it and I just want to use the cup! It's my turn!" she cried, burying her face in Albert's chest.

Albert put all the pieces together, hugging his daughter. Isla thrived on her schedules and Albert hadn't even remembered who's turn it was to use that stupid cup.

"Hey, Isla, Honey? Can you look at me?" he asked, brushing some of her loose hair out of her face as the young girl looked at him.

Albert helped the girl blow her nose and then smiled. "Thank you for bringing yourself up here to calm down. I'm proud of you for doing that."

"You're welcome, Daddy." she whispered, taking a deep breath. "Can you and Tata talk to Ellie? She doesn't listen to me ever."

Albert brought the girl downstairs, where Elmer was talking to the other girl. "And lying to Daddy. Was that a good choice or a bad choice?" he asked, kneeling next to Ellie.

"A bad choice. But I really wanted to use the purple cup." she crossed her arms and rubbed her face with frustration.

Albert sat Isla on the couch before going back to help Elmer. "Just remember how your actions make other people feel, Baby. Now, I need to talk to Tata, so go apologize to your sister."

As Ellie rushed to apologize, Elmer leaned against her counter. "You know, they say that 'you'll understand when you have a kid or two' but I never thought that a broken cup would be the meltdown of the morning." he chuckled.

"I think we should just wash it, give Isla her water, and then get them on the bus. We both have off today." Albert winked, starting to rinse off the cup and fill it with fresh water.

Elmer smiled and kissed Albert. "I can't wait. Can you go get the girls and I will pack their bags?"

****Mini time skip****

As Albert and Elmer waved at the bus, they knew that their little family was going to be just fine. Even if the purple cup schedule was forgotten every once in a while.
