Chapter Twenty: Inside I

East Field

  Black Phoenix was walking through the rows and rows of dead bodies in the mansion. The blood that was spilled and the blood that was on his hands. >This was more messy than I wanted...< He thought to himself, putting his daggers back into his trench coat. Picking up his phone, he dialed a number in, calling it. He put his phone to his ear, waiting for the other end to pick up. <Hello?> The other person asked, waiting for Black Phoenix to respond. "The mission is done. The sniper is in the room." He responded, ending the call and putting his phone away and continued on his way. Leaving the mess of a mansion behind.

The Next Days...

  News and articles flooded the entire media. The killing of the criminal Takuro Akira, the massacre of important people in Japan, the vanishing of campers, and the dead bodies found in the streets. Detective agencies and police departments were overloaded, as similar things happened around the rest of Japan, outside of Tōkai.

Gale Agency

  Nelivia was back to her job as a detective, the load of work was stressing her out. And it also worked both Rośe and Ryo till midnight. "So many people are worried about what's happening." Nelivia said, her head was on the table, exhaling out in exhaustion. >All of this happened a few nights ago... and the other's were out of the apartment too...< Rośe was thinking about what her roommates could have done last night. Thinking about the morning when she asked them what they were doing and where they were.

Ryo's Apartment, Morning

  The four were gathered in the living room. The three were called in by Rośe who wanted to exactly know where the three were last night. "We all know about the news that came up this morning. And all three of you were late out last night. And so, I wanted to know exactly where you three were last night." Rośe said, wanting to hope the people she felt closest to weren't betraying her behind her back. Just like back then.

  "I was out playing street Football(soccer) and I had forgotten about the time." Ryo answered first, giving his 'reasoning' on why he was out late. "My boss wanted me to cover a coworker's shift for the night." Ren said, that was his 'reasoning' on why he was gone and late to return to the apartment. "And what about you Kokori?" Rośe asked, looking at her. She was the first one to come back to the apartment besides Rośe. Kokori sighed, giving her reason one more time, "I was eating some Takoyaki and other street food while I was out." Kokori responded, giving Rośe her 'answer' to her question.

  Rośe listened to their answers and reasoning as to why they were out late. Thinking about their  answers carefully. "Alright, this meeting is done. We still have school before winter break begins." Rośe said, getting up from her seat. >Their answers do match what I know about them... but only to a certain amount.< Rośe thought to herself, the other three also got up and left the apartment.

Gale Agency, Current Time

  "And here comes another.." Ryo said, taking up another fresh paper from a file. His eyes scanned the paper, reading it and getting the idea of what it is, just like he usually does. "It's the same, isn't it?" Nelivia said, watching as Ryo put the paper down, back inside a different file. "Yeah, it's the same." Ryo responded, closing up the file. "..." Rośe was thinking about something, her mind drifting a bit before Nelivia called her out. "Hey, Rośe, do you have a paper from the South Field files?" Nelivia asked, looking back and forth between different papers and reports about the South Field. It mainly came from the family members of the people that were killed. "Huh? Oh, yeah, I have one here." Rośe responded, picking up one of the papers and giving it to Nelivia. "Is something the matter?" Nelivia asked, noticing how zoned out Rośe was. "I'm fine, I just didn't get enough sleep." Rośe responded, making sure Nelivia didn't worry about her. "Alright, if you say so." Nelivia said, taking the paper and putting it with the rest of the South Field reports and documents.
