The next update is this Friday!

Lilly:

Not being a human anymore was... weird as fuck. I mean, it will take me time to stop having an "I'm a human" mentality after spending twenty-five years being, living, and thinking as a human.

I am a... dragon shifter...

I am a dragon shifter...

I am a dragon shifter!

Yeah... No. I still feel like human, though right now, I was nothing of the sort.

Everything around me seemed so small... so far away... But my height right now made me feel so... powerful! It felt as if I could crash anything and anybody!

I move around, feeling my new body. The chief told me to close my eyes and feel every millimeter of my body, to picture every single scale on my body. I felt my long neck down to my back. I then picture the wings on my back in my mind, and I move them slowly, feeling them. I stretch them and fold them over and over again, getting a feel of them, getting used to them.

Then I feel my long tail, and it moves side to side. I felt weird to have an extension of my body. I feel like I will knock everything and everyone down with my tail, much like my cousin's old dog. We'd all have to put the glasses and cups in the middle of the table so it wouldn't knock them to the floor with its tail when passing by.

I stomp it against the floor, feeling the force of it. Okay, I liked it.

Then my mind wanders toward my legs and I move around. Being in four felt unnatural, but now was going to be my new normal, so I made circles around the lake getting used to the feeling of my four legs.

Okay... I guess I could get used to this.

I then focus on my snout. I open and close my mouth filled with sharp teeth. I snarl and bark. And then growl up to the sky. How cool!

But I know not everything was about my new body, but the added conscience to my mind. I could feel my beast inside me. My beast! How weird is that? I share a soul with a supernatural creature who has a conscience.

Not creepy at all!

Turns out, they communicate more through thoughts and images, not much with conversations. If I wanted to ask her something, I just knew her answer. She would push her thoughts into my mind and that's how she communicate.

She sends me an image of Brax and Phoenix. Now that we were one, she has access to my memories.

She wanted our mate, our son. I wanted them as well. I missed them so much... I wonder if they have realized I had left. The sun should come up in just a few more hours. Maybe I should go home before they awake. But... would I be able to see them? Or will Phoenix push me away?

I decide to stay a bit to calm my nerves, and then I'll figure out my way back home.

The chief has left me alone for a while now, and I enter the lake, enjoying the feeling of the cold water hitting my scales.

I lower myself into the water, and it splashes everywhere. I bathed and played a little bit with the water, loving how everything felt with my new body.
