65. One Down, Four More To Go

I decided to open the portal outside his studio because my intentions weren't to give my father his first heart attack.  

Yeah, that wouldn't help the situation.

So instead, I knocked the annoying way I did because I liked annoying my father. So I knock continuously and fast, without stopping.

And he doesn't complain, because he knows only one person is annoying like that and I think he is doubting the situation, because how would I be here after disappearing on them again?

I heard the lock turn and he opened the door, staring at me in shock. But soon the shock waves and tears started filling his eyes.

"My Lilliana," he whispered and came to me for a hug. I hugged him back, my heart breaking. I've never seen my father cry, and I hated that I was the reason he was crying. "Mi niña, what-?"

He stuttered, not really knowing what to say, so I decided to be the one carrying the pants in the conversation and took his hand leading him back inside his studio, and locking the door behind me.

At that, Phoenix connected my beast, and he was shocked and not really happy with me, so I told him to trust me, and it was something I needed to do, now.

I made my dad sit and I sat in front of him, just to stand again. I couldn't stay still for this conversation.

"Okay, I will go directly to what is going on: I'm pregnant with the love of my life, and we are getting married in like a month, but that's not all. I have two kids. Phoenix's son is mine too, they are a package, so you need to accept them both."

I breathed in deeply. My dad kept quiet, knowing that I needed to let everything out.

Now it is when I started getting nervous.

"Okay, what I'm about to tell you, is not normal, and I am not lying. It will be strange at first, but to be able to share my life with you, you need to know the truth," I turned to look at my dad and he nodded, a worried expression on his face.

Damn, how do I go with this?

"I am... Uh... not human anymore..."

I stared at him. He stared at me and then blinked.

"Uh?"

"Dad... I... There's another world other than the one you know and Phoenix comes from there... That is where I've been all these months. Phoenix is a... supernatural creature and I... turned into one..."

"Honey? Are you okay?" he goes to stand up and feel my forehead, but I force him back in case he faints.

"Dad! I'm serious! Supernatural creatures exist and now I'm one as well. I am a dragon, Phoenix is the king, and our son is one too. He is three years old now, even if he only hatched like four months ago..."

Damn, now that I say it out loud, it does sound ridiculous. I don't blame him for thinking I had gone nuts.

"Lilly..."

I sighed, knowing that I'd have to show him and probably scare him in the passing.

I grow my claws and change my eyes. My dad shrunk back, surprised and fear showing in his eyes.

"You don't need to be scared of me, dad," I muffled with my fangs out.

"You are..? Is this real?"

He stood up, shaking, and he flicked my fangs with his nail.

"Hot damn," he muttered stepping back. I closed my eyes and went back to normal, opening them again to stare at my dad.

"So... You believe me now?"
