As Yudhishthir was about to declare Krishna his royal advisor,a rude and arrogant voice stopped him.
"Stop Samrat Yudhishthir!" Shisupal extended his hand and gestured for him to stop. Yudhishthir did stop and looked at who interrupted this ritual. Chedi naresh Shishupal stood up and made his way to the center of the court, his eyes piercing at Krishna. His hands rested on his waist which had numerous peacock feathers.
"So many kings have come here and dedicated their devotions towards you. By choosing such a man,you cannot insult us!" He took a peacock feather out and threw it away. Arhsia's eyes darkened as she glared at the man.
She remembered him from her swamyvar, after all he was the one who tried to deny Karna of lifting up the bow and winning her.
She looked at Krishna who had a calm expression and a small smile displayed on his face. She sighed and watched Shisupal continue.
"Our supreme samrat being under the authority of such a fool is not acceptable by me,Maharaj Yudhishthir" He said as he threw another peacock feather.
"Chedi naresh, who is more capable of this position than Vasudev Krishna? Dharma,Adharm, this world and the other, lies and truths are best known by dwarka naresh Krishna!" Yudhishthir calmly expressed. Shishpal spread his arms in annoyance and continued
"This is all an illusion, supreme samrat! All the kings present here,if you look at this Yadava's life, you will know immediately that he has only cheated people!" He turned to the kings and insult-ly pointed at Krishna.
"The milk and butter which rightly belonged to King Kansa,he used to steal them!He would revolt against the mighty king Kansa! He was the reason many of his friends died! Putana,Bakasura,Chanur,Mustik, the list is endless, kings" Shisupal turned to Krishna and mockingly smiled.
"He was the one who stopped us from worshipping Lord Indra. He is not only a thief but also an adharmi" He took out two peacock feathers and threw it at Krishna. "He is a rebel,a liar!" One more Peacock feather fell near Krishna's feet.
"If you listen to his advice, tell me!How can he even think of the welfare of Aryavart" He looked at the kings and threw away another peacock feather.
"Stop Chedi yuvraj! Insults against Vasudev Krishna will not be tolerated by me" Bheem stopped him. Shishupal turned to him with clear mock in his eyes.
"What will you do Rajkumar Bheem?Kill me?!" He laughed.
The sound of his laughter pierced and annoyed Arshia. She scrunched her face and tried to block out his annoying tone, which obviously didn't work.
"Look at Vrikodar Bheem, kings! He married a female orge! Now you all tell me,can a dog who eats leftovers be seated in a Puja? But this adharmi Vrikodar is now the Yuvraj of this illusionary state,by none other than the grace of this cowherd!" Shishupal pointed at Krishna and threw a feather towards Bheem.
Bheem fumed in anger and marched towards him,in the intention to behead him. But he was stopped by Bhishma, who stated that unless and until the king doesn't order he had no right to attack a guest. Bheem groaned in annoyance and kept staring at Shishupal.
Shishupal's laugh cursed everyone's ears but they were obliged to sit and watch his childish and stupid tantrums,in the name of their honour. The only one who was actually enjoying this was Gandhar Raj Shakuni, who was carreseing his beard with a sly smirk on his face.
"Yudhishthir, the one who is preaching to me about limits while he gave a runaway cowherd the highest honour of the court" He huffed. "Yudhishthir didn't your father ever give you the knowledge of right and wrong?" He continued mocking. Yudhishthir lowered his head, trying to maintain his calm.
