She hasn't stopped talking since we started our walk. I know we were supposed to interact but she was just talking too much. What was her name again? Gina.

" So tell me is it fun having a pregnant wife?" She finally asked me something related to why I was even here with her in the first place.

" First thing I would like you to know is that my wife isn't the type to bother me, as much as I hate to admit it, she's an independent woman, she handles her pregnancy quite well, better than the way some women treat their husbands in the name of being pregnant,"

" You keep saying your wife, but you don't have a wedding ring," If she was looking for an answer from me she was wasting her time. Knowing that I wasn't giving her any answer she asked me another annoying question.

…" So are you saying you weren't taking care of her and she had to do it herself?" Was this woman trying to offend me? I had just spent some minutes with her and she was already pissing me off. I wonder how her husband puts up with this.

" Like I just said, my wife isn't some lazy ass pregnant woman that waits for everything to be done for her, she does things herself even with all the maids to help her, and I take care of her," She gave me a look I didn't understand and I just waved it off, I couldn't wait for this to be over with, I needed to be with Jane.

" So how does your pregnancy make you treat your husband?" I asked her.

" Ewww, Mark is not my husband, he's my brother,"

" Your brother?"

" Yeah, the father of my child didn't own up to it so my brother has been the one taking care of me," She said with a shrug as if there was nothing wrong.

" Your family didn't do anything about it?" I asked her as I pulled the chair for her to sit down, while I took a seat opposite her, we decided to go to a restaurant to sit and talk, I could also see some people from camp.

" What could they do? I couldn't force him to take responsibility when he didn't want to, my brother and dad are going to give this child all the love he needs in this world, so he can go fuck himself," She should have thought that before she let him put her in this situation, not like I'm saying having a child is wrong.

" This child,..." She said as her hand went to her stomach in protection.

…" Is already loved even before being born," I couldn't help but smile, the protectiveness of some mothers just makes me respect them while some mothers don't give a shit about what happens to their children, others would do anything for them.

We got to talking and as much as she was annoying at the beginning, I can't say I got used to it but I managed, she was a storyteller, she told me what I wanted to know and what I didn't even need to hear.

" I think we should start going back, I have to make sure Jane has gotten something to eat,"

" You don't have to worry as long as she's with my brother, she's fine," She told me like she expected me to be happy about that, I didn't want anyone doing what I was supposed to be doing.

" Wow look who it is," I said as soon as I spotted Markus, he looked drained and I couldn't help but laugh, from what Mark had told me, his sister was so much work.

" Hi guys," Gina greeted as she playfully bumped her brother's shoulder.

" Did you guys miss us because we had so much fun we didn't even want to come back, right Markus?" She said as she turned to Markus who looked anything but interested in what she was saying.

" Did you get anything to eat?" Markus asked not caring about answering Gina's question.

" Yeah, Mark took care of me,"

" And he took care of me too," Gina said, suddenly locking arms with Markus, I could tell Markus wanted to pull his hand away from hers, but out of courtesy and not to make her feel bad, he didn't.

Sensing that the atmosphere had shifted, Mark took his sister's hand and detached her arm from Markus's.

" We'll see you guys tomorrow, we have things to talk about,"

" What things?" Gina asked but Mark didn't give her a response, he just dragged her away. Well as careful as you could drag a pregnant woman away.

" Did you have fun?" I said as I turned my attention to Markus.

" I can't say I did, I can't say I didn't, all I was thinking about was to come back to you, I felt deprived,"

" Let's go back to our room, I need sleep,"

" Yes ma'am,"

We had the whole evening to ourselves, I could see some couples involved in a conversation, perhaps they linked up after the couple switch thing, I wasn't feeling the need to interact with anyone and I could tell Markus didn't mind, he was all for my happiness. Besides I've been having little pains in my stomach, I didn't tell Markus because I knew he was going to start worrying.

When we returned to the cabin it was already getting dark but I couldn't say I had a tiring day, it was a rather fun-filled day.

Markus had gone to the bathroom to take his shower when his phone started ringing, I wanted the ignore it but whoever was calling didn't stop and without thinking much of it I took the phone.

There was just a number with no name which meant this was someone that wasn't from his contact. I contemplated picking up the call but I didn't know if it was okay. So I just silent the call and kept the phone back.

But soon enough, the phone started ringing. What the hell, couldn't whoever was calling get the hint that he wasn't available to pick up?

I finally answered the call but didn't say a word.

" Markus, I know you're there, why have you refused to talk to me, please give me a chance to prove that I still love you and all these years without you have been hell, I know you still love me, I see it in your eyes, you don't look at her the way you look at me, I know I still hold a place in your heart, Markus please," She sounded so genuine but I knew her intentions she didn't mean well for either Markus or me.

" Markus please say something," She must have noticed the long silence after her ranting.

" Fuck off!!"  At that moment Markus stepped out of the bathroom with me still having his phone to my ear.
