Ch. 45 Family Secrets

Yesterday....

The vibration from the speakers made the whole house shake the small family reunion turned into a whole block party.

Missing his girlfriend was an understatement, the two hadn't been apart in months after he came back from Bolivia, Kori never wanted to be out of his sight and as much as he hated to admit it he loved his girlfriends newfound clinginess.

Kori never came out and admitted it but it was clear she had separation anxiety but her small sniffles on facetime confirmed it. He thought back to their first real break from each other during last years Thanksgiving they weren't even officially together and she admitted to already missing him.

Kori and his mom basically begged him to come to this family reunion but now her crybaby ass was at work missing him. He chuckled at the thought and couldn't wait to go back and tease her in person.

"NEPHEWWWW" an obnoxiously loud unfamiliar voice yelled over the music.

Sincere, although surrounded by a plethora of family members had never felt like such a stranger there were people he hadn't seen since he was Saints age or never met at all. With his son in attendance he was on high alert family or not he didn't know nor fuck with them like that.

The mans grin was way too big and it making him slightly uncomfortable not wanting to seem disrespectful he acknowledged him with a head nod and held Saint close.

"You must not remember me I'm ya uncle Emmanuel you can call me uncle E  I ain't seen you since you were a-"

"Back the fuck up, my son don't know you he couldn't call you then and he don't need to call you for shit now" Sam spat.

Emmanuel smirked watching Sam lose his temper had been one of his favorite hobbies ever since they were kids. "You looking good baby bro how long you been out?"

It seemed like the time froze, the DJ had even lowered the music probably assuming the family was gathering around to make an announcement by the way the crowd gathered around the two.

Samuel let out a sinister chuckle at his older brothers ignorance, Emmanuel was the sole reason he had been away from his wife and son all these years and by the blood draining from E's face he knew Sam knew.

"You got some balls showing up here after the stunt you pulled. Now you claiming ya nephew where you been for the past 20 years?"

Emmanuels eyes shifted around the numerous onlookers the get together was filled with family and friends his own father looked on quietly his face filled with disappointment.

"Sam, it wasn't like that shit just got tough you know I tried to get in contact with Melissa but-"

"A lie don't care who tell it I remember coming to your house and your security told me that you wanted me and my child off  your property.

You didn't even have the decency to face me instead you had your staff handle your dirty work fuck you Emmanuel!"

Like everyone else Sinn desperately wanted to know more about Sam and Emmanuel's rift but not at his mother's expense. Sincere stood by his mother's side as she stood in place shaking with rage he hadn't seen her this wound up in years.

"Ma, it's getting late maybe it's time to go."  Saint was dozing off and the family had already been there for a few hours.

"Mel that's not-

"Don't insult her intelligence. Don't address my wife or my son again talk to me. Where's my money E?"

The crowd gasped in unison the DJ had completely cut the music off while everyone watched the scene unfold.
