Revenge. A simple seven letter word. But this word has ruined many lives. It slowly sinks it's claw deep in our hearts and sucks all the emotion. It tortures our mind and renders it incapable of thinking straight. It ruins us into soulless monster.

And I'm one of it's victim.

"Tell the commisioner I'll handle everything. We need to give a statement to the press and make sure they knows only what's necessary." I said through the phone and hung up putting it back in my pocket.

I looked down at the bustling city and wondered what if I was a normal person, leading a normal life without having to worry about a billion dollar multi-national company or someone who's dead set on ruining my family for some ancient revenge.

It's been a week since the kidnapping and things were gradually falling back to place. This entire week was really disturbing for both the Raisinghani's and Raghuvanshi's. My father along with Bella's father had just released a press statement. It was basically about Bella's health, Veronica's trial and how we're handling the situation.

Bella is going to be discharged from the hospital today. She was doing much better than the first few days she was in the ICU.

She had an internal injury in her head and bruised knee but her treatment was progressing well. She was unconscious for three days. Her condition wasn't worse but it wasn't good either.

When I saw her covered in blood, with fresh tears in her eyes, my chest squeezes and all the oxygen knocked out of my lungs. That moment I felt something different that I can't place my mind to. It was an unknown feeling of terror and anger.

If something would have happened to her that day then I might had loose whatever breath was left in me.

A soft voice pulled me back from my reverie. Turning around I found my wife smiling down at me with her beautiful eyes staring right back at me. Fuck! She's mesmerizing.

"Hey, baby!" I walked to the side of her bed and tucked the loose strand behind her ear. Her smile widened as she stare at me.

"How was your nap?" I asked softly helping her sit up straight.

"It was good. I had a dream where we're having a small date in Paris." She whispered shyly and I chuckled.

"Mm..then I'll make sure to turn that dream into reality." I commented and she blushed.

"Maybe but before that can you do something about this horrible taste of medicine in my mouth?" She asked quietly and I immediately stood up.

"I can bring orange juice for you." I mumbled turning on my heels to leave but she grabbed my hand.

"I don't want juice." She mumbled softly.

I frowned. "Then what do you want baby?"

"I want you to kiss me."
