"Took the breath from my open mouth, never known how it broke me down, I went in circles somewhere else."

The moment everyone else had arrived, I had moved to a corner, refusing to talk to or see anyone, quietly observing the doctors and nurses moving in and out while the others paced.
"Eros," I heard my father call out to me and looked up briefly to see his sympathetic eyes, my jaw clenching, "Go change your clothes, you're a mess."
I looked away, not wanting to leave for even a second in case we got any news from the doctors about the surgery when Hunter sighed.
"He's right, you'll scare Emerald if she sees you like this. We had someone bring some spare clothes for you. You can change and shower in the spare room." He told me.
I quietly thought about it for a few moments before standing up and taking the bag of clothes from my sister's hand and moving into the empty hospital room and locking the door behind me.
I went to the bathroom and got rid of all the bloody clothes, throwing them away before standing under the warm shower and watching all the blood flow down my body. Blood that wasn't mine.
Closing my eyes tightly, I looked away from the sight of the red water and quickly washed up, drying myself with the towel before putting on my clothes.
Straightening my blazer, I pushed my wet hair back with my hands and walked out to see that the others had also changed and some were getting treated for their injuries.
"You're hurt too, you should get yourself bandaged." Juno touched my arm gently when I flinched and she quickly stepped away, muttering a small apology.
"I'm fine." I spoke in a low tone when she sighed and shook her head.
"No, you're not, Eros," She spoke quietly, "Please, do it for Emerald. You know she won't like it if you're hurt."
As soon as she said this, my eyes snapped to hers in a quiet fury as my hands formed fists and a muscle ticked in my jaw.
"Anyone uses her name again to make me do something will deal with a bullet in their head, no matter who they are." I spoke in a deadly quiet tone, watching her wide, fearful eyes as she stepped back and cleared her throat.
"Eros," My father put his hand on my shoulder, his gaze stern, "Go."
I snatched my hand away from him and moved towards the doctors office where I was bandaged for my bruises and cuts and when I came back out, I saw Arturo sitting there with a cast around his arm.
I went and sat beside him, both of us quiet and solemn.
"How's your arm?" I finally asked when he nodded once.
"I'll be fine. How're you holding up?" He asked when I looked down at my hands, twisting the wedding band around my finger as a sigh left my mouth.
"I'll be fine when she's fine." I replied and saw his understanding nod when the doctor came out and I was on my feet instantly, rushing towards him.
