Yulissa's P.O.V.

Graduation day was only a week from today. The last week of school was all about getting cap and gowns ready along with sashes, chords, and medals.
I was truly excited at the fact that Kevin was going to be graduating with us. A year early for him. Savannah had stated about how cute it would be because we'd be able to take graduation pictures together, with the both of us wearing our cap and gowns.
We were at lunch. By we, I meant me, Savannah, Crystal, Karen, Julia, Ashley, Darling, Adela, Caitlin, Daisy, and Jasmin. We were talking about how we should plan a once a month hangout and continue to take pictures together. Karen was making an album of the senior year just for all of us. It was going to be like a gift. She was going to wait for our graduation pictures, and then send it off to Walgreen's. It was like a yearbook. It would arrive at our homes within a week.
I was very excited to see how we transformed through the year. There had definitely been hair changes, wardrobe changes, and such. It was definitely going to be way better than the yearbooks they were selling.
"Okay, guys. This week, I've planned for each of us to take a picture everyday to fill up the album." Karen explained. "So if someone isn't here, then sorry to be blunt, but too bad. Its still going into the book."
"Why haven't you showed us at all what it contains?" Adela asked.
"Because its a surprise. Each of yours is going to be a little bit different." Karen answered, and then stood up. "I'm going to the restroom, so I'll be back."
Once Karen left, Darling got everyone's attention.
"So I came up with an idea, and I need you all to listen. Since Karen is doing this for us, we should buy her a gift basket full of things that she likes." Darling spoke.
"Dude, yasss." I replied.
"What are things that she likes?" Savannah asked.
"Books." Caitlin answered.
Slowly everyone replied with things she liked and we came up with a list. We saw that Karen was already coming back, so we quickly decided to give the money by Wednesday to Adela so she could go out and buy all of the things.
We finished eating and tossed our plates, and we used Daisy's phone to take the group photo. There was silly shots and a regular shot with all of us smiling.
Once done, Kevin came up and I spent the remaining ten minutes with him. I told him all about the album and the gift we were going to surprise Karen with.
"That's nice of you guys." He responded.
I nodded my head and we walked down the sidewalk holding hands.
"Is your mother throwing you a graduation party?" He asked.
"No, I told her to just throw me a birthday party instead. She's been focused on work lately and with this huge project, she can't afford to take a week off." I answered. "Is your dad throwing a graduation party?"
"Are you kidding me?" He shook his head. "He's going all out. Proud that I'm the first to graduate." He laughed.
"When will it be?"
"On a Sunday, the only day he has off." Kevin answered.
"Who have you invited?" I wondered.
"Just the guys. You're invited as well, of course. Just only bring a friend or two." He smirked. "Dad only had a certain amount of money to spend."
I nodded, understanding exactly how that felt. I thought of just inviting Savannah since her boyfriend was going to be there anyway.
We continued walking, and started heading back to the school building.
"Its been an amazing year." I sighed.
"The best one for me." Kevin grinned.
"Why is that?" I asked, squinting because the sun was in my face.
"Because I finally got my dream girl." He pulled me closer to him.
I laughed and we entered the building. The bell rang and now it was only my last class left. For two hours. Kevin dropped me off and it was English with Savannah. We got there at the same time and saw the screen was down.

Yes! We're gonna watch a movie.

We took our usual seats, the teacher took role, and said she'd play the movie but didn't care if we paid any attention to it. She was showing us The Lego Movie. Having already seen it, I decided to talk to Savannah.
"Hey, Kevin is having a graduation party. Would you like to come?" I asked.
"Oh, yeah. Joel told me about it, but said I wasn't invited." She chuckled.
"Money situation." I replied and she nodded. "But he said I could invite someone. Figured I bring you since Joel is going either way."
"Awesome, thanks. I'll go." She grinned. "I have something to tell you. Move your desk."
I moved my desk facing hers. "What's up?"
She began to tell me all about that night.
"And when did this happen?" I freaked out.
"Umm.. Well, Esai moved out last month, and since then it was..." She began mumbling, "so yeah, it happened two months ago."
"What? And you're only telling me now?!" I nearly shouted.
She backed away a couple of inches, and then laughed. "Dude, I hid it from everyone for as long as I could."
"Why?"
"It was something special. I didn't feel like everyone needed to know it happened. It was like... Our dirty little secret." She laughed.
"Did you just quote the title of a song?" I asked, eyes squinting.
"Yes." She laughed again.
"Ladies!" The teacher spoke. "I can hear you all the way from over here. Keep it down."
Savannah continued. "Technically the song goes as my dirty little secret. But yeah. You're the third person that I've told."
"Who else knows?" I wondered.
"Well, the first person I told was my mom. She said she had suspected because supposedly when you do it, your hips grow wide or something like that."
"How did your mom react?"
"Surprisingly not mad. I got her on a good day, lied and said we used protection, and she's always liked Joel."
"About that, are you going to do a pregnancy test?"
"Relax. You know how my period is all messed up? Well, its been almost a year, and I've read that when stuff like this happens, it means you won't be able to have kids." She replied.
"And you're totally fine with not having kids?" My eyebrows raised.
"Well, no, but there's always that slight chance that I can get pregnant if what I read online is true."
Time passed, and I asked her more questions like who the other person was that she told. Turns out it was Crystal.
I never got to experience it in a special way. To me, it was like I was being forced. Which, I basically was, but I chose that over worrying my mother as to how I got bruises all over my body.
The bell had then rang.

School is done for the day, yes!

Savannah and I walked to the library where we usually met out boyfriends. We sat on the near benches and then the questions that had escaped my mind earlier had finally reappeared.
"Has Joel told anyone?" I asked.
"He says that he only told his mother and Jorge." She answered, and then she chuckled to herself. "His mother was just completely excited. She was hugging me and everything because I had just arrived when he told her... Have you done anything with Kevin?"
"Not yet. We wanted to wait until prom night."
"Corny." She laughed.
"Yes," I laughed with her. "But also sweet. He didn't really mind when it happened."
"Would it be his first time?"
"Yes."
"Don't be dumb like me. Make sure to have protection. Wait! So, does that mean you won't be with us in the hotel room?"
"Daisy didn't tell you?" I asked.
"Apparently not."
"Its just going to be you, Joel, Crystal, and Jorge in the room. Me, Kevin, Daisy, and Scott in a different room. But as far as our parents know, its just girls in one room and the boys in another." I explained.
She nodded her head, and then finally Joel and Kevin arrived. We walked out of the school, meeting up with the rest of the gang. I thought it was really cute how we each basically started dating each other's boyfriend's friends.
It was Crystal and Jorge. Savannah and Joel. Kevin and I. Gabby and Jesus. And far as I was concerned, Darling started talking to the ginger kid who's name I never remembered.
"Oh, babe." Kevin spoke. "My teacher gave away cupcakes today. Want?" He pulled out a wrapped cupcake from the side pocket of his backpack.
"Sure." I smiled.
He handed it over. I unwrapped it, revealing the deliciousness before me. A small vanilla chocolate frosted covered cupcake with sprinkles.
"Diabetes, yummy." I whispered.
I heard Kevin start chuckling and saw that he was shaking his head.
"You heard that?" I asked.
He nodded his head, "Yes."
"I thought I said that in my head." I replied, a bit embarrassed.
I began licking the frost off, and listening to the conversation. They were talking about prom night being the day after graduation and where we were going to eat.
Kevin was listening until he turned to face me. He smiled, and then let out a laugh.
"I love your smile, but what are you laughing at? Do I have something on my face?" I questioned.
"You have a little, let me just..." His thumb scraped off some frosting on the side of my bottom lip. "There." He grinned.
