"I cannot believe you told everyone we would host thanksgiving," you said to your boyfriend irritably.

Steve shrugged, "I just thought it would be nice."

"Yes, because Tony doesn't have enough room," you rolled your eyes and went back to finishing the potatoes.

"He hosts every year! I thought we should give him a break."

"I get it, I do," you sighed. "We'll talk about it later. Right now, can you finish setting the table? Everyone's gonna be here really soon."

"Of course," he said grabbing the silverware from next to you. He paused and kissed your forehead sweetly, grinning down at you. "You know, you're amazing, Y/N."

You smiled slyly and pecked him on the cheek. "I know."

He laughed and headed for the dining room to finish setting the table. Several minutes later, the doorbell rang, and you threw down the spatula you had been holding to go answer it. When you unlocked the door and opened it, you were greeted by a chorus of HAPPY THANKSGIVINGs. Steve appeared seconds later, and helped you welcome everybody inside.

"Y/N, stunning as always," Tony winked, handing you a dish of Mac & Cheese. "Courtesy of Pepper, of course. She wants me to apologize to you again on behalf of her not being able to be here."

You smiled at Tony kindly, "Thank you, Tony. Happy thanksgiving."

Everyone made their way into the living room and began preparing drinks for themselves as you headed back into the kitchen. Natasha and Wanda came and kept you company as you waited for the turkey to finish cooking. Finally, the timer on the oven beeped, and Clint howled with excitement from outside the kitchen. You had had to banish him there soon after he arrived after he tried to get in the oven at the bird when your back was turned. Steve entered the kitchen and pulled the turkey out of the oven before setting it down to carve it. After quickly cutting up the meat and putting it all on a plate, everyone grabbed a different side and brought them to the dining room.

You sat down with Natasha on your right and Steve on your left, smiling at your work that was now spread out before you. As Clint reached for the leg of the turkey, Steve stood and cleared his throat.

"Well, if you guys don't mind, I'd like to say something before we eat," he announced and everybody nodded. "They say that you should be most thankful for your family on thanksgiving, and for a while, I felt like I didn't have a family. But, I've been really lucky recently, and I've realized that I do have a family. And it's all of you."

You put your hand on top of Steve's and grinned up at him as he paused, and he smiled at you as well.

"So, I'm thankful for all of you. So, let's all raise a glass," he lifted his wine glass, everyone doing the same. "To family."

"To family," everyone replied in unison.

"And," Steve spoke up again, "To the ever surprising, hardworking, beautiful, and all around wonderful, Y/N. She really outdid herself today, and made all of this possible. I love you, Y/N. Thank you."

"Here here!" Tony cried as you felt your face grow bright red.

Steve sat back down and you immediately kissed him, taking him by surprise. You pulled back and smiled at him, happy tears sitting in your eyes.

"I love you," you whispered. "And this is the best thanksgiving ever."
