I'm so evil and I'm sorry 🙊😏😈
Let's let these brats talk it out, shall we ~
"So ..." Gabe dragged out his word, staring at Sam. "What didja wanna talk 'bout?"
The two had been awkwardly staring at each other for the past five minutes after Sam had insisted that they talk, Sam trying to think about what exactly he was going to say.
Sam shook his head free of all the 'what if' thoughts, just go for it. You haven't got long left in this world, might as well live while you can. As Sirius Black said, what's life without a little risk?
Sam stared back at Gabe. "You - you kissed me."
Gabe raised an eyebrow. "I am aware."
Sam shook his head. "Friends don't kiss friends. Is this something ... more?" He said, internally cringing.
"Yeah, friends with benefits." Gabe snickered.
"Gabe! I'm trying to be serious!" Sam huffed.
"Oh Sambo, yanno I don't do serious, right?" Gabe grinned.
"Yeah, well, that kiss back at the pool sure felt serious." Sam shot at him.
Gabe blinked. "So ... what didja wanna talk 'bout again, Sammich?"
Sam looked at Gabe. "You've kissed me. More than once, more than just a couple times. And I know that I'm not the only one who felt something when it happened."
Gabe was silent, listening to Sam carefully.
"You may act like a flirty little brat, but don't think that I haven't noticed that you barely flirt with anyone that isn't me. And that you always want to be around me."
Gabe leaned against a tree, crossing his arms, his expression unreadable. Sam wished that he could just tell what he was thinking.
"I've seen the way you look at me sometimes. And ... I really like you Gabe." Sam said, clenching his hands to stop them from shaking from the nerves.
"Like, like-like?" Gabe questioned.
"Yeah, like, like-like." Sam said awkwardly.
"Like, yeah, like, like-like?" Gabe said, confused. "Like, like-like?"
"Yeah, like, like - okay, let's just stop. This is confusing." Sam threw up his hands. "The point is, I sorta fell for you in these past few months. And I -"
Sam was cut off by Gabe's lips on his, very suddenly. They were gone as quickly as they had arrived, and Gabe, still an inch from Sam's face, said, "It's okay, Samsquatch. I like-like you too."
Sam stared down into Gabe's golden eyes, eyes that were lit up with a new happiness and joy. The bright light that Sam had only ever seen in those photos with Adam.
And as Sam's gaze drifted downwards to Gabe's lips, which were now softly smiling, he thought, this boy is beautiful. This boy is all I have ever wanted.
And as Sam leaned down to capture Gabe's lips with his, the only thought running through his mind was, this guy better be the last thing on the bucket list, 'cause I'd really like to do him ...
