Y/N's POV
I was walking down the school hallway when I heard loud laughter. I ignored it and continued to walk towards my locker. I approached and began putting my locker combination in my lock.
"Just stop following me." I heard a hushed voice say followed by some laughter. I looked over my shoulder to see Jason and his squad circle some guy against the locker.
"Aw look at the poor baby. He wants us to leave him alone. Well to bad Evan, you're gonna get everything you deserve." One of Jason's friends stated.
I continued to look, until the guy who was being circled made direct eye contact with me. I quickly turned away and continued to get my books from my locker. I heard a loud bang followed by a groan.
I turned around and the boy was up against the locker with Jason's hands on his shoulder. I can't believe I ever dated him.
"What's wrong Ev? Can't handle the pain you little dick?" Jason said while everyone laughed. I slammed my locker shut. I was tired of him walking around thinking he's the shit and he owns these hallways.
"That's enough Jason." I said loud enough for them to hear me.
Jason turned around not letting go of Evan's shoulders.
"What?" Jason said.
"I said that's enough. Leave him alone. What has he done to you anyways?" I said walking closer to him.
"What has he done to me? He transferred to this school, that's what he did to me." Jason said as his friends laughed at him.
"Jason just let go of him!" I raised my voice louder. Jason let go but he began to walk up closer to me.
"What's the big deal babe?" He said as he placed his hand on my cheek, but I slapped it away.
"First off I'm not your babe. Second, I'm tired of you and your stupid friends. Walking down these hallways like you own this place and picking on people who don't deserve it!" I said as I pushed him away from me.
Evan stood up against the lockers and just stared at me.
"Y/N stop being a bitch we're just messing around." Jason said in a rather nasty tone.
"I'm not the bitch here, that bitch is you. And you obviously weren't playing if he told you to stop following him. Go play with someone else and leave Evan alone." I said to him.
Jason just stared at me and one of his friends spoke up.
"Why don't you just mind your damn business?" One of them said and I just looked at him in disgust.
"It's fine Jack. Not her...Let's go" Jason said never leaving my eye contact.
Him and his friends walk down the hallway away from us. Jack made sure he shoved my binder from my hands when he walked past. I was going to pick it up but Evan rushed over and picked it up for me.
"Thanks?" I said smiling as I took my binder from his hands.
"You're welcome. And um thanks for that too."
"Yeah no problem. I didn't want to just stand by when something like that was happening. Especially when it's someone like Jason causing the problem." I said.
"Seems like you to have bad blood. What happened?" He asked straightening out his shirt and adjusting his backpack on his shoulders.
"Let's just say we broke up, and we're still on bad terms." I said laughing a little causing him to chuckle.
"I've got to get to class though. I'm already late." I said smiling at him.
"Yeah of course."
"Are you okay?" I said as I began to walk away slowly.
"Yeah."
"You sure?"
"I'm fine." Evan said and smiled with me smiling back.
"Maybe I'll see you around." I said to him.
"Yeah, I'll see you around." He said as he walked to his class in the opposite direction.
