   Y/N'S POV

Making my way down the stairs, I felt a huge pain in my stomach. I rolled my eyes and panicked, running into the bathroom. I checked myself and blood was going down my legs.
Thank God, I was not in the bed, because I do not know what I would have done. Carefully, I took a shower and got dressed into something more comfortable. A few seconds later, I heard footsteps heading towards the door.

There was a soft knock, followed by,"Darling, are you all right?"

I smiled at Steve's concern, until I flinched and clutched my stomach tight.
Steve gently opened the door and looked inside to see me holding my stomach.

He was beside me in a matter of seconds and pulled me close saying,"Sweetheart, what's wrong? Can I help?"

I went to say something, but Steve cut me off by kissing me passionately. I kissed back and was really surprised by his boldness to openly kiss me. Steve was not the most urgent man when it came down to affection, but I loved that about him. He never pressured me into anything and always remained patient and gentle with me.

I slowly pulled away, before Steve searched my eyes asking me,"Anything? Do you feel better now?"

I giggled weakly but put my hand on Steve's chest saying,"Baby, I feel dizzy. The kiss reassured me that everything was going to be okay, but it was the fact that it is you kissing me that is putting me in a daze right now."

Steve chuckled and nodded, before he led me over to the bed. He sat down beside me and pulled me in for a side hug.

I hugged back and kissed his nose saying,"I love you, Captain. Do you really want to know what is going on with me?"

Steve nodded and looked down at me, ready for me to fill him in on what was going on with me.

I wanted to see Steve's reaction, so I looked him in his astonishing blue eyes and said,"The truth is I am on something called a period or cycle. Most girls call it a period, but it's really just a constant reminder that life sucks. It's really painful, but every girl or woman takes it a different way. Some people say that they can barely feel it, but I know I feel it every month."

I stopped for a second to let Steve take that in. Steve's face began to flush with color, and that was my sign to keep talking.
I giggled and continued, while Steve pouted. I kissed his bottom lip, and Steve blushed.

I smirked in victory but finished saying,"I handle it by staying in bed, eating all the junk food I want, and watching some of my favorite films in the world!!"

Steve chuckled at my last outburst, but I examined him closely. Steve tensed at hearing me in pain, but he blushed in embarrassment for asking the question. I reassured him that it was fine, and Steve pulled me into his arms.

Steve smiled and said,"I will be right back, sweetheart."

I nodded and let go of Steve, before he jogged out of the room. I turned on the DVD player and The Lion King was on. Aww, now I knew I was going to cry even more today. I got comfortable and waited for Steve to get back. Steve walked in with bags of chips, snacks, chocolate, and some drinks.

I smiled at Steve, before he set them down in front of us. Steve changed into something comfortable, and I blushed looking away. After a few seconds, I felt Steve get in behind me. He pulled me against his chest and wrapped his arms around me.
I went to get the chips, but Steve stopped my hand and grabbed the chips for me. I kissed his jaw, before I flinched in pain. Steve frowned and rubbed my stomach gently. I leaned more into his touch.

As it reached the part where Simba talked to Scar about being brave, tears immediately formed in my eyes. I knew what part was about to come next. Steve looked at me confused, but it caused him to pay even more attention to the movie.
As Mufusa fell, I closed my eyes and let my tears fall. I felt warm hands cup my face and opened my eyes to see Steve giving me worried ones.

He wiped my tears and shushed me saying,"It will be all right. He went to a better place. You know that, right?"

I nodded but started to cry harder. Steve pulled me into his lap and kissed me, before he continued to comfort me. As we watched The Lion King, I realized just how lucky I was to have the Man Out of Time on my side.
