   Y/N'S POV

  As I enjoyed the ocean breeze, I felt strong arms wrap around my waist. I leaned into the touch of my skilled yet amazing boyfriend, Erik Lehnsherr. Erik wasn't immune to the painful memories of his past, but he was all I could have ever hoped for.

  As I leaned into his touch, Erik softly said,"What is on your mind, my love? I promised not to pry into your personal business, but I want to be able to help guide you and be here for you. You know that."

  I looked up at Erik, before he intertwined his fingers with mine and said,"I know you are not the most talkative human being, but I love you and realize that something is bothering you."

  "I am so sorry, Erik. I do not deserve you and yet, you still stay with me. I am not the prettiest girl out there, and I have no idea where I should go from here."

  Erik turned me around, before he stared into my eyes.

  He chuckled slightly and held my chin saying,"I have always found you, intriguing, Y/N. If something gets in the way of what you believe, you would be the first to defend yourself and fight for that particular cause. Do you want to know why I fell in love with you, gorgeous?"

  I nodded, before Erik led me closer to the water.

  As the waves crashed against the sand, Erik smiled and said,"You showed me a path to greatness that I never knew possible. Charles warned me that I would fall for you, but I never believed him. I figured it was just another one of his mind games or tricks to get me to finally stop my anger from escalating."

  Erik smiled down at me and continued on with saying to me,"Darling, you are the most beautiful woman on this planet. Your beauty is unmatched, and I do not believe that anyone will ever be able to be as beautiful as you. You may not know where you'll be months from now, but I will always be here for you. I promise."

  He moved to cup my face in his hands.

  I stopped his hands and intertwined his fingers with mine saying,"Oh Erik, I...I do not even know what to say. That is the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me. No one ever cared or showed an interest in me, until I met you. You were rude at first, but eventually you warmed up to me."

  Erik chuckled at the thought, but he looked down at me saying,"Darling, you also called my powers a waste of time. Though, it could not take away your beauty. Nothing ever could."

  Erik was something special, and he always surprised me with something else.

  He stroked my cheek and said,"I am sorry, my love, but I believe someone is here and wants to see you."

  Erik guided me back to the front of the house, before he opened the door. The Professor, well Charles Xavier, was here.

  I smiled so big and hugged him saying,"It is great to see you, Charles. What brings you here?"

  Charles smiled and crossed his arms saying,"I just wanted to stop by and make sure everything was going okay. Erik..."

  Erik leaned on the door saying,"Charles..."

  Awkwardly, I cleared my throat and said,"So, Charles would you like to come in? Please, you are always more than welcome to come in. Erik, do not..."

  I held Erik back, while Charles made his way through.

  While Charles was in the living room, I whisper-yelled to Erik,"What is your problem?!!"

  Erik sighed and said,"I am sorry, I did not mean to-"

  I sighed and said,"It is okay, handsome, but please be nice. I know you two did not have the best past together, but Charles still loves you. He cares about you. At least, show him the same kind of respect, for me?"

  Erik nodded and put his forehead on mine.

  I kissed his nose and smiled up at him saying,"I love you, Magneto."

  Erik pecked my lips and said,"I love you more, Y/N. All right, let's go."

  I smiled and pulled Erik into the living room, before I apologized to Charles.

  He waved it off and smiled over at Erik saying,"No, it is quite all right. I sensed you had to handle an important matter. Is it resolved?"

  Erik nodded and said,"Yes, Charles, it is."

  I sat down on the couch next to Erik, before I leaned on his shoulder. Erik intertwined his fingers with mine, and Charles sent us a soft smile. I smiled back, before I noticed Erik had got up from the couch.

  I looked at Charles and asked him,"What is he planning, Professor?"

  Charles chuckled and took my hand in his own saying,"Something that has been on his mind for a long time now. Trust me, you will love it."

  I nodded, before Erik helped me up.

  He pulled me closer and cupped my face saying,"Y/N, I have been meaning to do this for a long time now. Ever since I first met you, I felt some sort of connection to you. I know we argue and have doubts about many things, but we always work through them. I am saying this because I want the nightmares and insecurities to stop around you, because you are everything to me."

  As my tears fell down my face, Erik got down on one knee and said,"Y/N L/N, would you please marry me?"

  I put my hand over my mouth and continued to let my tears fall.

  Erik looked over at Charles saying,"Charles, what does that mean?"

  Charles chuckled, before Erik turned back to me. All I could do was nod, before Erik smiled and slid the ring on my finger.
  He pulled me in for a passionate kiss, before I kissed back. I would never change this moment for anything! Anything!
