Few Days Later

"Chanmi unnie!"
"Taeyeon?"

The moment Taeyeon saw her, she couldn't help but ran towards her, hugging her tightly. Taeyeon's actions startled Chanmi for a moment but after that, she hugged Taehyung's little sister back.

Taeyeon looked up at her with beady eyes. "Oppa told me what happened..." she said, the sound of her voice made it obvious that she was about to cry.
Chanmi's eyes widened, pulled Taeyeon away from her and suddenly knelt down on her knees. She held onto the little girl's shoulders tightly and looked where she thought where her eyes were. "Yah, don't cry, okay? I'm still the same Chanmi that you've known since you met me," she smiled at her.
Sniffling, Taeyeon wiped her drooling nose with her long purple sleeve. "I know that, it's just that I'm sad because you can't see anymore..." she said honestly.
"Taeyeon." Taehyung spoke sternly after being silent for a while.
Chanmi's innocent smile didn't leave her lips. "It's okay, I don't mind it," she said to Taehyung, "Listen, Taeyeon, I'm sad about not being able to see anymore too but don't be sadder than I am. I'm pretty sure I can deal with a little thing like this."
Taehyung couldn't help but smile at her words, "Yeah, didn't I tell you that your unnie was capable of doing anything she wants?"
"Like get your older brother to stop being so weird?" she joked.
The older boy shrugged his shoulders with a smile, "Hey, once you're weird, you can never go back."
"Taeyeon-ah, do you love your brother?" Chanmi suddenly asked as she stood back up on her feet.

Taehyung was anxious to hear his little sister's answer even though he already knew what she's going to say. He was a bit confused why Chanmi would suddenly ask a question like that.

Taeyeon nodded her head vigorously, forgot the fact that Chanmi couldn't even see. "I love my brother so, so much!" she emphasized, her words warming her older brother's heart.
Giggling, Chanmi nodded her head and looked at Taehyung where she remembered he stood. "I do too."
Taehyung blinked blankly, trying to process all the words that she just said. "W-wait... s-so you love me too?" he asked, trying to make sure he heard right.
She smiled and nodded her head again, "I love you, Kim Taehyung."
"Sorry to disturb you guys from your love lives but if we don't get in hyung's car right now, we'll all be late for school," Chan suddenly blurted after being quiet the whole entire time.
Taehyung looked at his wristwatch, "Crap, you're right! Everyone, get in!"

"Are you sure you'll be fine without me?" Taehyung asked as he opened the door for Chanmi to come out.
"Don't worry, I'll be fine," she reassured him. "I'll eventually have to get used to this anyways."

He was worried about her. It was her first day of school and she had less than a week to even adjust being in her new condition. He didn't know what to do since he can't be there for her when she's at school. Will she really be fine?

Suddenly, Taehyung felt someone grab his hand. He looked at Chanmi who was smiling at him comfortingly. Her hand was so warm. "Oppa, I'll be fine. Don't worry so much."
He couldn't help but let out a sigh, "Fine. I'll pick you guys up after school, okay?" he said as he gave her a quick peck on the cheek, the sudden gesture surprised Chanmi, making her blush a bright pink.
"O-okay."

Two Days Back

"You know, I could get used to leisure like this," Minseo grinned as she threw back her hands behind her head as a pillow. "Hey, thanks guys, this has been the best birthday ever."
You couldn't help but smile seeing how happy she is right now. "Only the best for the best."
"Hey, I was going to say that!" Jungkook laughed and the two of you girls joined in.

It was a peaceful picnic on the beach with a basket filled with food, the heat of the sun showering down your faces with the cold wind cooling off it off as a breeze passed by. It was relaxing, no one did anything and the three of you just wanted to be there, admiring what nature has to give you.

"Sorry to break the peace but shouldn't you two be preparing for school instead of doing this with me? I would have liked it if you two just gave me a hug and a card," she giggled.
Jungkook shook his head vigorously as he sat up from the checkered red blanket beneath him. "No, I couldn't do that! You do so much for us and this is what we wanted to do as a gift."
You nodded in agreement, "It was thanks to you that I was able to stay here in Seoul. Without your help, I'd probably be in America right now."
Minseo sat up and looked at you and Jungkook with an innocent smile. "I'd do anything for the two of you. I was so happy the moment I recognized who you were and I know Jungkook would have been really happy too."
"Minseo unnie..." you were speechless.
She reached her hand to hold yours and smiled, "Call me umma now, okay?"

Biting your lip, you nodded your head, trying so hard not to cry right on the spot. She was like the mother you've always wanted, the mother that you didn't have when you were young. Leaning forward, you gave her a tight hug. You actually felt like you were in an actual family.
