Saw You Again (Jungkook Fanfic) (COMPLETED)

Day Off

You tossed your head a bit, enjoying the warmth that was against your body. You slowly opened your eyes and looked up only to see Jungkook's face so close to you, his arms were around you tightly.
What time is it, you asked yourself curiously, trying shift your head slowly to look at the clock on the wall without moving too much to wake up Jungkook. It was almost pitch black in your room, you could barely see the time.
A flash. It was all too sudden but you knew what that flash of light meant. You couldn't help but jolt in fear and cover your ears as much as you can to block the horrific sound of the thunder. Because of your movements, you unintentionally woke up Jungkook.

He was surprised. "Ji Hyun-ah..." you heard him say but his voice was muffled. Jungkook's tight embrace suddenly loosened as he tried to grab his phone from the nightstand beside the bed. He looked at the time, a confused expression came upon his face. "Its 6am," he said then looked towards the barely draped window. It was dark out and it seemed like the lights were still out.

Another flash of light, that time it was big, you knew it. You pushed yourself closer to Jungkook's chest, trying as best as you can to ignore the sounds of the storm with his calming heartbeat. It barely worked.
You suddenly felt Jungkook's warm hands go over your ears, doing so somehow blocked the sound of thunder even more. Thank you.

"Kids, your school just called - no school for today due to the blackout and the storm!" Minseo yelled from downstairs. There was no answer from any of you. Minseo assumed that both you and Jungkook were still asleep so she left a note on the table instead.

She recited the words out loud as she wrote them down on a piece of blank paper. "Call me... if anything happens... I'll... be at the company... Mr. Kim wanted to... talk."

With that, she signed it as 'Mom' and left it on the fridge door since she knew that the fridge would be the first thing that Jungkook would look at first thing in the morning. Though it was gloomy and pouring rain outside, she still needed to go to work right after Mr. Kim called her. It was apparently an emergency.

You woke up again, this time there was no one cradling you in their arms. You looked outside and was relieved to see that the storm isn't so bad anymore even though there was still light rumbling from the clouds.

"Going to school in this weather would be such a pain..." you complained and looked at the clock mounted on the wall. "Shit!" you cursed. It was already 10:30 and you just woke up.

Jumping right out of bed you headed downstairs. You saw Jungkook standing by the window beside the door, looking thoughtlessly outside. He was wearing shorts and a shirt. Did they cancel school for the day?

"Jungkook?" you said as you approached him.
He turned and gave you a smile, "Good morning," he said. "How are you feeling?"
"I-I'm fine," you stuttered. "Thanks... for last night..."
"You were so scared last night, I couldn't help but protect you."
"Sorry if I caused you any trouble..."
Jungkook shook his head and walked towards you. He went behind you and gave you a back hug. He was so warm. "Hey, don't apologize, you couldn't help it."

Minutes passed with just Jungkook hugging you from behind. The silence between the two of you was calming. He gave you a kiss on the cheek then let you go. You pouted, you wanted the feeling of his warmth to last longer.

"Where are you going?" you asked.
He was walking towards the kitchen, "I just remembered that I saw a note on the fridge."
"You didn't read it then?"
He shook his head, "I got distracted."
You walked over to where Jungkook stood and looked at the note that was held by a magnet on the fridge. "Didn't want to wake you two up so I just left a note. No school today because of the storm. Call me if anything happens, I'll be at the company. There's food in the fridge if you two get hungry."
"Dammit, the power is still out," Jungkook grumbled. He opened the fridge door, "What do you want for breakfast?"

"How do you do it again?"
"When you put your hand here, you move your foot to the opposite side."
"Like this?"
"Perfect - for a girl who says she's not good at dancing," he smirked.

You playfully punched his shoulder as he let out a little laugh. He was teaching you one of the choreography that Jimin taught him, there was no specific reason why, the two of you just became bored since there wasn't any electricity.

"Hey," Jungkook said then sat down on the couch. "Can I ask you a question?"
You sat beside him with legs crossed. "Sure, what is it?"
"You have to be completely honest with me, okay?"
You furrowed your brow, "Okay...?"
Jungkook shifted his body so that he'd be facing you. He was so serious that moment it made you a bit anxious. "Why haven't you stood up to your parents before? I mean, on the outside you seem so strong and could do anything, it's almost hard to believe that you're actually-"
"Weak," you assumed.
He shook his head, "I was going to say a girl who's too scared to make a move."
"Well, I guess I am too scared but that's not the only reason why..."
He was totally surprised. He only suspected that there was only one reason why you were so scared to do anything. "Is there really more to his?"
You nodded your head. "The reason why I'm so scared is because I'm afraid of getting hurt. Every time I say something, they would yell at me, they would slap me across the face. They hurt me even if I make a simple mistake," you were starting to tear up as soon as the horrible memories flashed back in your thoughts.
"H-hey!" Jungkook said in panic then took you in his arms. "Don't cry, okay? I don't like it when you cry."
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't know I'd get this emotional when I talk about my past of getting hurt all the time."
He started to caress your hair, "You don't have to worry anymore, Ji Hyun. No one is going to hurt you again and if someone does, I'll come to your rescue like I always do."
You couldn't help but let out a little giggle, suddenly remembering the words that he would say at times when he suddenly shows up and rescues you from anything. "You're my dark knight."

I seriously did not know where I was going with this chapter xD I was going to stop at the part where Jungkook asks Ji Hyun what she wanted for breakfast but I wanted to add more for some reason.
