Rogue's POV~

I was sitting with Sting at our favorite restaurant with Fro. Lector couldn't hang out with us because he was hanging out at Fairy Tail, probably trying to get Carla to go out with him. Lector keeps saying it's because he wants to annoy Happy, but I' pretty sure that it's because he actually likes her.

It's been a long time since Sting and I have been able to just sit calmly and eat a meal together. So much has happened during the year. There was the Grand Magic Games, the dragons that followed and then the war with Tartaros. It feels great being able to relax for once.

"Hey Rogue, I've been wanting to tell you something but just keep getting distracted by all the crazy things that have been happening." Sting tells me, putting his fork down and looking me straight in the eye.

"What is it?" I ask. I didn't actually care; it was probably what his new favorite food was or something stupid like that.

"You're my best friend and always have been. I tell you everything and I know you sometimes don't like that but it's too keep this friendship alive, ya know?" Sting explains.

"You're just stalling." I point out, knowing him well enough to tell.

"Yeah, sorry." Sting says rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment. "I'm just going to say it and be done with it, okay?" He asks. I'm pretty sure he's asking himself more than me.

"I'm getting bored." I tell him. Sting seems to snap out of whatever daze he was in and finally spills what he's been so anxious to tell me.

"I have a crush on Natsu's sister, (Y/n)!" He blurts out, probably the only way that would get him to tell me.

My eyes go wide but I hide it. Anger creeps in on me, but I settle it down and keep my calm composure. "Are you going to do anything about, or just going to like her from a distance?" I ask, secretly hoping he would choose the second option.

"I've already tried to like her from a distance, it hurts too much. I want to be close to her, hold her, feel her, spend time with her. I want to be with her, not just as friends, as something more. You know what I mean?" Sting asks, sincerity in his voice.

I know exactly how you feel....

"Who am I kidding, the only person you've ever loved is Fro. Of course you have no idea what I'm feeling." Sting points out, relaxing back in his chair, letting out a sigh.

I wanted to do something, tell him that I know what it feels like. But that wouldn't help anything, it would just make it worse. So I don't, I keep quiet and let Sting think to himself.

I watch Sting curiously as to what he was going to do about it, his plan of action. I've known him for years, most of my life actually and I know he's not the best when it comes to planning things.

Sting just sits there with a contemplative look, but out of know where, his facial expression turns happy and there's like a glow on his face. I look behind myself and see (Y/n) walking down the street, looking around as she did so. My breath got caught in my throat and I quickly looked away, catching my breath.

"(Y/n)! (Y/n)! Over here!" Sting yells out, a grin so big it could compete with Natsu's. (Y/n) hears Sting and quickly walks over to us, my heart beats more rapidly at the closer she gets.

"Oh hey Sting, Rogue, Fro. How are you guys?" She asks, her beautiful voice filling my ears, sending butterflies to my stomach. It was no mystery why Sting liked (Y/n), the answer was obvious. She was the most beautiful girl in Fiore with the kindest heart. I couldn't blame him for liking her but why did he have to?
