Hey! I wrote something! It's short compared to my other ones and not as happy, but I was just inspired by Halsey's song ''Colors'. I hope you enjoy and stay tuned for more to come!

"Hello!" The boy that was greeted to, looked up from his table. He wore a lost expression; his eyes were dead inside. The boy's marron hair was matted and probably hasn't been washed for weeks. There were bags under his eyes and a cigarette in his mouth, the source of any joy he ever felt. He resembled blue in her eyes.

"Hey?" The girl who greeted him was bright and uplifting. Her skin was shiny and clear, her eyes bright and wide open. Her hair looked soft and silky. She reminded him of the color red.

The girl took a seat in front of him in the booth across from the table between them. She wore a grin so bright he felt like he needed to shield his eyes.

"I saw you from over there and wanted to build up your spirits!" Her voice was high pitched and jovial. The boy didn't know if he liked it.

"No thanks." The boy took his cigarette out of his mouth and got up from his seat. The girl went after him, grabbing his hard and calloused hand with her smooth and gentle one.

"I want to help."

"I don't need help." The boy muttered.

"You might not believe that you do, but that doesn't mean you don't need it." Her eyes were caring.

"Let go." The boy demanded to the girl's hand and she let go slowly.

"I'm, (Y/n). Here's my number if you want to talk or anything really. I'm here to help." The girl turned around, her hair whipped through the air it was mesmerizing. (Y/n) exited the building to join her friends and soon enough exited from the boy's sight. He looked down onto the note in his hand that held the girl's number.

Cobra's never seen that girl in his life, but for the rest of the day, she couldn't seem to leave his mind. Her enchanting smile, her well rested face, her clear voice, everything about her made him, jealous. He began to miss the sound of her voice, the feel of her hand, her happiness.

Not even two days later Cobra called her.

Their encounter again was a short one, it was in between one of her college classes and she didn't have much time. But that didn't affect her smile, she still wore it proudly. (Y/n) decided that she wanted Cobra to know her better so that she could gain his trust.

Cobra didn't listen to a single thing she said. He listened to the tone of her voice and admired that it was as happy and beautiful as before. He focused on her zealous expressions, mentally recording them in his mind. When she had to go, Cobra felt a pain in his heart. He grabbed onto her soft and tiny hand.

"I need to see you again." The girl laughed. What a beautiful sound.

"Okay, how about tomorrow at 3?"

"Perfect!" Cobra agreed with a smile, the first time in years.

"Bye Cobra." She began to walk away, Cobra held onto her hand for as long as he could.

The third encounter between (Y/n) and Cobra was longer, they ended up grabbing diner together. The conversations were long and Cobra found himself smiling constantly, even laughing at some points. Her happiness was contagious, it was a drug and he couldn't let it go.

He was addicted.

Weeks later Cobra started to wonder what so much happiness felt like up close, what it tasted like. After another one of their sessions Cobra walked (Y/n) home, stalling constantly to make their encounter longer.

"I have to go Cobra, I have a lot of studying to do." She reasoned.

"Yeah, but I need to spend more time with you." Cobra pleaded.

"Another time, Cobra I have to go." Cobra sighed and turned around about to leave the porch of (Y/n)'s house. But something came over him. As she was opening the door Cobra grabbed her arm and spun her around to face him.

"Cobr-!"

Their bodies collided and his chapped lips pressed against her soft ones. Cobra couldn't wait, he held her waist with his arms and began to move his lips in a heated kiss. His body felt on fire, he was at a high.

(Y/n) was shocked but enjoyed it none the less. She felt butterflies in her stomach and threaded her fingers through his marron hair. She began to fall in love.

The two began dating, (Y/n)'s feelings growing strong and Cobra's needs getting higher and higher every minute that passed.

(Y/n) was his drug and she had no idea.

Their relationship wasn't as great as (Y/n) imagined it to be. Every interaction with her boyfriend was demanded to be as happy and jovial as she could make it. It was tiring and when (Y/n) would show that Cobra would freak out, he began to be verbal, insults flying out of his mouth.

The more time that passed the more fights that began. (Y/n) lost her constant jolly attitude, Cobra lost his drug. Cobra knew what was happening and in the time away from his girlfriend, began looking for another, whether that be a real drug or another person.

(Y/n) on the other hand was losing the love of her life along with her attitude. She was constantly crying and barley ever happy. She had no idea what was happening.

Cobra was blue, he liked (Y/n) because she was red. He touched her and she became purple. He decided that purple wasn't for him.

"Cobra..." (Y/n) voice was shaky over the phone. She's been crying for hours. Cobra shook his head at the tone.

"What?" His voice was sharp, already in a bad mood.

"Sorry. I don't know what I'm apologizing for, but I know I did something wrong and I'm sorry. Please just come back." She pleaded.

"That doesn't help anything." Cobra's voice was bored, monotone, a lot like how it was when they first met.

"What's wrong? I don't understand!" (Y/n) began to yell and immediately cursed to herself for doing so, she didn't want another fight.

"You're out of stock."

"WHAT?"

"You're out of stock." Cobra repeated.

"What does that even mean?" (Y/n) almost began to laugh out of how stupid his reason was, but stopped herself from doing so to keep the serious atmosphere.

"You gave me happiness, you spread it to me. You're no longer happy. I can't use you anymore." (Y/n) was mortified by his answer.

"Wait... I was your drug?" (Y/n) voice sharped, she had no idea what to think.

"Basically."

"I can't, I can't. WHAT THE FUCK! You were using me?! There was nothing for you but to feel better and use me until there was nothing left? You never loved me?!" (Y/n) screamed into the phone, hot tears streaming down her face.

Cobra sighed and put the cigarette back in his mouth as he inhaled the smoke before exhaling it right afterwards.

"No."

(Y/n) hug up the phone immediately and threw it at the wall as hard as she could and watched it fall to pieces. Her sobs came at an explosive rate and they didn't look like they were stopping any time soon, she reminded herself of the day she met that bastard.

The entire time she was in the café she kept glancing back at the boy with his head hung low and smoke cascading above his body. He looked like he was in the darkest part of a hole possible. She had this urge to go and throw a rope to him and help him climb out. Her friends tried to stop her and told her that he was a waist of her time. But (Y/n) insisted that she could change him. (Y/n) regretted not listening to her friends.

A happy person met a sad person, soon after they were both happy, but the demand to be so was too high, and they both became sad.

The End.
