"So, all I have to do is choose one?" You asked.

"(Y/n), you aren't possibly thinking of actually doing that, right?" Lucy gasped.

"It's the only way guys, to making it easier. I have to choose."

"So, who do you pick?" Lucy asked.

"I don't know..." There was a pause, a long silence as you thought. But nothing, absolutely nothing. "I'll sleep on it, then it must come!" You assured them but they nor you, believed yourself. It was a tough decision and would affect your entire life. If you made the wrong one, you would be stuck, as well as whoever you choose, in a life time of misery. You went to bed thinking about that, not the greatest idea. But it helped you think logically, maybe not sleep though.

You remained awake even after the others were long gone in their dream states. You weighed the pros and cons of everyone. Gajeel and Sting were long gone from your decision. Even though you connected with them earlier, it wasn't practical, you don't know Sting and you're afraid of Gajeel. You were also scared that the feelings you had towards them weren't real and would just disappear after the week ended.

That left Laxus, Natsu and Rogue. Natsu was the safest choice, you knew him the most. But you also knew that Lucy was practically in love with him and you could never hurt her. And sometimes Natsu could be extremely annoying as well as energized. You didn't think you could survive that. You knew Laxus as well, he was older and more mature but he was large and had a reputation of losing his temper and doing things that just simply made no sense and just hurt people. You could never. That left Rogue.

Rogue was Sting's shadow, and surprisingly enough, you liked him. The two of you had something in common, reading. But more than that, you two both didn't see the point in fighting like Natsu and Sting. You realized this once you started to think why he was in the library in the first place. He has no interest in seeing how strong he is; unlike the rest of the lot who could fight forever. But what made Rogue stand out the most was that even with only spending a few hours with the boy and slim to none conversation; you trusted him.

He was self-conscious, quiet, and very contained. Characteristics you've never really paid attention to, until now of course, which you've realized you loved. Rogue was the answer to Lucy's question. You were sure of it. But how would you go about it?

The girls would want to know and would most likely take you to see him so that he could mark you, but after that, what would happen? The girls had no trust in either of you and would most likely split the two of you up, which was the opposite of what you wanted. You wanted to be with him, and for that to happen, you couldn't speak a word.

You rose from the bed you had yet to sleep in. As you did so you noticed that the sun had begun to rise. You had stayed up all night, but surprisingly didn't feel tried. You stalked over to the door and found it unlocked, which was another surprise. You slowly and as quietly as you could, opened the door, just enough to slip past. You closed the door behind you, cursing at the squeak that it made, but left without another sound.

You didn't feel the need to run or get there any earlier. You were still a little unsure about what you were doing, but there was no going back. You arrived ten minutes later at the guild. The sun had fully risen and Magnolia was just beginning to wake up. It would have been stupid to use the front door, so you didn't. You climbed up the walls and watched through the windows until you found where they were keeping the boys.

You looked through the window and saw them all sleeping, all but one, the one you came to see. Rogue wasn't there. Your heart sank as you thought it was over, he wasn't there so there was no one to mark you. But that's when you remembered, that wouldn't be the first-time Rogue escaped. So, you dashed off out of the guild and into the town, your nose sniffing repeatedly as you did so, trying to pick up on his scent.
