Chapter 16: Favor

ERZA'S POV

It's been two months and Gray hasn't come back yet.
Now I'm starting to worry about him, I told Master Makarov that I should fetch him, but Master reassured me that it was ok not to go looking for Gray, that it has been 7 years since he last visited the graves of his parents. Master also said that every time Gray takes his leave, the time that he is away is always indefinite.

For the meantime I have other things occupying my mind.
Such as what would I be doing during the Fantasia Festival.
Perhaps the Heavens Wheel armor routine? Flame empress collaboration with Natsu?
Sea Empress Collaboration with Juvia? Or should I just be a cheerleader along with Lucy, Bisca, Levy, and Wendy?

This year Mira won the Ms. Fairy Tail contest. No surprise there. Master Makarov wasn't paying much attention during the contest though, he was too busy looking after Laxus in case he tries starting another battle of Fairy Tail again. Believe it or not Natsu was urging Laxus to do that, in a no rules no hold bar battle of Fairy Tail, to settle the score who is the strongest of all Fairy Tail. I knocked out Natsu for even suggesting that.

Soon after the other guilds around Fiore started coming to Magnolia to watch the parade. Sabertooth, Lamia Scale ,Blue Pegasus, Mermaid Heel, Quatro Cerberus.

I reunited with Kagura and Milliana and talked about what was going on with each others lives, we talked for a while, after a few hours of catching up, we went our separate ways. I was going back to the guild when I stumbled upon Juvia and Lyon kissing. I decided to go to them.

"My my, since when did you two started dating?" I said

Juvia and Lyon stood shocked when I caught them

Juvia squeeled and shoved Lyon back with water to distance herself to Lyon

"E-Erza-san this isn't what it looks like!!!" Juvia stuttered with a flushed face

"Really, it looks like you two were K-I-S-S-I-N-G" I said making kissy faces

Juvia slumped down to admit and realized what he did to Lyon

"Ah Lyon-sama, Juvia is sorry for doing this to you. Please forgive Juvia!" Juvia said while she kept bowing down to Lyon

"Don't worry My Dear Juvia, the only thing that matters is that were together now" Lyon said as he kissed Juvia's hand

Juvia face still got much more red than possible

"Lyon-sama! Juvia told you shouldn't address Juvia that way" Juvia yelled at Lyon

I tried slipping away from the couple, but then I remembered something

"Hey Lyon, have you had any contact with Gray recently?" I said

"No. The last time we talked to each other was at the Grand Ball in Crocus. Why do ask?" Lyon said

"Gray-sama hasn't come back to the guild in two months, Lyon-sama" Juvia cut in

"Is that so? As I said, I haven't heard from him recently" Lyon said

"Thank you Lyon, I'll leave you two to what you were doing then" I said

They were both flushed when I said that. Then I left the two lovebirds be.

I went back to the guild to get back on preparing the floats for the festival.

As I was passing the bar in the guild Mira stopped me and handed me an piece of paper

Written on the paper was 'Library'

With no question, I did as the note said. I was a bit curious to know who was the sender, and why the secrecy?

As I reached the entrance To the library I saw Mest from the magic council. He was standing guard by the door.

"They're waiting for you" Mest said as he opened the door

I went inside to find Jellal, Meredy.

"I wouldn't suppose you two came here to see the parade?" I asked sarcastically

Jellal smiled

"It's good to see you again too, Erza" I said

"Meredy could you go out for a minute? I need to talk to Erza privately" Jellal said

Meredy nodded and left us

"Erza, I need you to do me a favor" Jellal said

"What is it?" I asked

"Can I leave Meredy in your care in the mean time?" Jellal said

"Sure, but Why leave her here?" I said

"I will be going on a reconnaissance mission, in collaboration with the magic council" Jellal

"That doesn't really answer my question" I said

"Meredy hasn't been herself been the same since Ultear left Crime Sociere" Jellal sighed

"Do you know What happend to her? Ultear I mean?" I asked

"She only left us a letter informing us of her departure" Jellal said

"Hm I'll see to it that Meredy has a room at Fairy Hills" I said

"You have my thanks, at least now she will see some familiar faces. She's especially fond of Juvia and Gray" I said

We then said our good byes and Jellal nodded to Mest and teleported off without a trace.
