It's staring directly at me. I turn around and run away as fast as a can. I don't know what it is and I don't plan on finding out. I froze, my body couldn't move. I felt its hand on the back of my neck. I squeezed my eyes shut.
It's just a nightmare. Soon I'll wake up. It's just a nightmare.
Suddenly, its grip around my neck got tighter. Its hand was definitely too big to be human. I gasped for air as its fingernails dug deeply into my skin. I could feel my warm blood flowing down my neck. I never had a nightmare with such intense pain. This couldn't be real it just couldn't.
"Do you you still think this is a dream?" It whispered into my ear.
I could feel myself getting light headed as I struggled to breath. The only reason I was able to handle this situation was because I thought it was just a nightmare and it would just end as soon as I would wake up. I realized that nightmares aren't scary. Real life is scary. And unfortunately for me, it wasn't a nightmare.
