"Deanna, I know you have Daryl as a recruiter right now, but I've really been wanting him to scavenge as well; do something a little more productive for this community, something I know he can get done better than most, especially after what happened." Rick said, his last few words confusing me.

"Yes Rick, and I'd rather you not bring up that incident anymore." Deanna sighed, "If you think sending Daryl on runs will help him settle in more here, then so be it-- he'll listen to you over me anyway."

"Ok well, I'll go run it by Daryl when he gets back with Aaron; I'm sure he'll be glad to be getting some help from someone who knows what they're doing." Rick said before heading out the door of his house.

I let out a sigh of relief, "I can't believe it." I murmured.

"Believe what?" Deanna asked.

"That I'm here.." I smiled, "That I'm actually in one place and I don't have to be on the move anymore; I'm safe."

Deanna smiled back at me, patting my leg, "This is your home now, Liz; believe it."

"Wow.." I laughed, giddy at the thought of having a home again.

"Well, whenever you're done taking it all in, Olivia's house is just down the road on the left; it's where we keep all the supplies." She said as she stood up, walking to the door, "I know she'll be excited for the help."

I nodded before she left, leaning my head back on the couch and letting my mind soak everything in.

"Get out." A voice said, immediately snapping me out of my thoughts, "Get out of our house."

I looked over, seeing Carl standing beside me, pointing towards the door, "Oh my god, I'm sorry, I was just about to." I said, standing up.

"Yeah, I'm sure you were." He said, "You might have fooled everyone else, but we've already been through enough, so I'm not taking anymore chances."

"Fooled?" I asked confused, "How am I fooling anyone?"

"We don't know anything about you and yet here you are-"

"I don't know anything about you guys either!" I retaliated, not liking what he was imposing.

"Then why are you here?" He asked.

"Because I have nothing else! Your dad saved my life and brought me here-- that's it, that's the only reason why I'm here."

"Yeah, well my dad isn't the best judge of character."

I shook my head, "You know what? I'm not going to argue with a kid, so take it up with your dad if you're so upset about me being here; go ahead, take away the one stable thing I've found in this world."

I then pushed past him and out the door, tears threatening to overflow as the thought of having to be constantly on the move again ran through my mind.

"Ma'am," a voice said, "Why are you crying?"
