After Tara and I reloaded our guns in the armory, I stayed back to help Olivia do a bit of inventory before heading out.

"I could hear the yelling from here," Olivia said as we marked off the few items that had yet to be checked in, "I just don't know why Spencer would do something as stupid as that."

I shrugged, "I guess he had good intentions behind it-"

"But that doesn't mean he had to go off and try to be a hero." She cut me off, flustered by the whole situation before calming herself down, "Sorry-"

"Don't be," I chuckled, "What he did was dumb; we can all agree on that."

"It's just- there are so little of us left right now," she sighed, "We could have just lost another fighter, and we don't even know if the others are coming back-"

"They're coming back." I cut her off, trying not only to convince her, but convince myself as well, "I know they will."

"For the sake of Alexandria, I hope you're right."

As I stepped out of Olivia's house, I was immediately face to face with Rick, causing me to jump in surprise.

"Oh god- you scared me!" I laughed, closing the door behind me.

He let out a light chuckle before his expression turned back to a more emotionless one, "Is Tara here with you?"

I shook my head, "No, she left a while ago, I stayed back to help Olivia."

He nodded, "I uh, wanted to apologize for what I said at the watch tower; I know you two were just trying to help Spencer out."

"It's fine, I get it." I shrugged, "If I'm being completely honest with you, I probably wouldn't have thought to do it if Tara hadn't told me to; she's smart."

"Yeah, she is." He nodded, rubbing at the stubble on his face, "It's just, with everyone gone and with what happened the other day.. I don't want to chance it anymore."

"I don't either," I agreed, "But I said that I'd protect this group and that's what I'm doing-- that's what we're all doing. You can't save something without risking something else."

He nodded again as he took in my words, "You're right, thank you."

"So, you ever gonna teach us those sweet knife throwing moves of yours?" Rosita laughed as I stood with her and Eugene.

"Maybe." I shrugged sarcastically.

"I still can't believe Spencer was stupid enough to try and go over the wall on his own." She shook her head, "And I can't believe you all actually saved his ass."

I scoffed, "I know-"

"Well, if it counts for anything, I believe what you and Tara did was insurmountably brave, not to mention idiotic and reckless." Eugene added.

"Thank you?" I laughed, "But to be honest, I don't think I'd ever do it again."

"Good!" Rosita joked, "I'd have to rough you up if you did something that dumb again."
