They weren't. If you could classify Angels as anything they're probably world class douches. You and Cass have been at this for weeks and found practically nothing except a list of angels who were Earth bound that time and a cupid that said your mother was never given a soulmate. Which only widdled the number to only 3,000.

Honestly, you'd given up. But Cass appreciated both the company and the task outside the Mark of Cain. He felt he could really help you. The only thing he's been able to achieve is help tame your powers. You had healed so many people, all the way to stage 4 cancer. You were capable of things you'd never even dreamed of.

Healing was your favorite power. It made you feel better about yourself, reminded you that you're good. Hearing Angels constantly calling Nephilims abominations, parasites, scum, radioactive mistakes, atrocity, the list goes on. Castiel said the combination of the human soul and Angelic grace creates so much power that it could become toxic if you didn't understand it. The Angels were only ordered to kill your cousins because of the horrible things they did with power, but you felt closer to your mortal mother, claiming your morality.

Castiel was honest, he had no real idea of what you were capable of. Powers were going to pop up, he explained some may be different or more intensified than his own. But if you do don't panic.

You also could teleport now, although after you didn't poop for a week. You're not a fan of that one. But he had truly helped you so much. It was time to return the favor. Castiel had earlier expressed a regret that he never repaid his vessels family, if anything he suspected he ruined it. While he did some grocery shopping you did the digging, finding Claire Novak, Jimmy's daughter, in a group home. Her mother, like her father, was reported missing two years ago.

You made a plan, two birds with one stone. You'd go see Sam & Dean, Castiel would go see Claire. You really missed Dean. With all thats happened you and Dean really haven't gotten the chance to talk about anything. For all you know he could just think of you as a friend, and having casual sex willy nilly again.

When Castiel got home, you proposed the idea to him. It took some convincing but you got him on board. You would finally be able to go see Dean.

You decided to surprise them, driving all night and a day to do so. You knocked on the door and stood back, holding an order of Chinese food. When the door swung open you checked for who it was. Sam opened it, you kept your finger to your mouth to keep him quiet.

"Sam, who is it?" Dean called from inside.

"Uh-" Sam stuttered, trying to muster a lie, "No one, uh, I think this branch just hit the door."

You nodded and Sam checked back to make sure his brother was out of sight. He came back and nodded, silently cueing you to follow him. You snuck in and down the stairs. Dean was sitting at the library table watching a movie, he kept laughing. It was so good to see him laugh again.

Sam walked away in the other direction after hugging you and welcoming you home. This was the moment you were waiting for. You had gotten all dolled up, too. You kept your foot steps quiet to stand in the middle of the front room, then slammed your duffel down.

"So, what movie are we watching?" You announced, he turned around. His mouth practically dropped and he immediately stood up and closed his laptop.

"Nothing, anymore." He urgently walked over to you, pulling you into a tight hug. You could hear his heart beating fast in his chest.

For some odd reason, Dean needed you. He realizes that now. You were the only beam of light in his life, with the Mark controlling his every move he felt free with you. You may have had the ability to cure cancer but nothing amazed him more than this.

"Don't let me ruin all your fun." You motioned back to his movie.

"I think I'd enjoy my time a lot better with you." He smiled. He took the chinese food from you and placed it on the table. Then continued picking up your duffel bag, trying to show how strong he was by acting as if it was a feather.

Sam poked his head out so that only Dean would see him. He'd been eavesdropping. He made a whipping motion to Dean, teasing him. Dean only rolled his eyes in response, it wasn't entirely false.

You followed him to see where he'd be taking your stuff, if he'd put it in your old room or his. Before you got the chance you saw a little bruise just under the neckline of his shirt.

You stopped him, pulling him down by shirt. He thought you were going to kiss him by him smirking at the gesture, "What's this?"

He looked down, innocently moving his mouth to come up with some kind of excuse. You just stood there, waiting for him to lie.

"We, uh, were on this case. Following a demon brothel." He explained, "And so I had to go undercover, as an interested party. Only as undercover. And we ran into this witch, too. She was a real bitch. Then we also ran into that guy, Cole. The one who had it out for my ass on a stick? He tried to kill me, again."

"So a demon hooker gave you a hickey." You clarified.

"Actually, the hooker was human, her pimp was a demon." He corrected.

"You kill him?" You asked, half concerned half hoping.

"She did." Dean told you, making you proud he didn't have any more blood on his hands.

"Okay." You shrugged.

"Okay?" He furrowed his brow, expecting a different reaction.

"So far, I trust you. I don't know what kind of chicks you've been whatever with in the past but, as far as you've let me know we have no saying on what the other does with our free time." You were saying, avoiding eye contact with him to not show him you were a little hurt if this was a lie.

Dean just nodded, "Well, I can say I don't think I've ever met a chick like you."

"How weird of a life am I living that all of this makes perfect sense to me?" You shook your head, following him down the hall.

"One that's only half as weird as mine." He opened the door to his room. Then smiled, figuring you'd show off you're new power. Placing your bag in it, "In here okay?"

"Okay." You teleported into his room. He jumped back seeing you in his room, he heard the flutter of wings but suspected Castiel.

"And it just got weirder." Dean sighed, looking you over.

"Too weird?" You asked, now a little weary that he may be turned off by what excited you.

"The weirder, the better."

You soon fell asleep after catching up on the last few weeks, eating, watching movies in pajamas, etc. But soon woke up to the heavy breathing of Dean beside you. You opened your eyes to see him sweating, shaking, and mumbling. He was having a nightmare.

There was a glow under the sheets, you ripped the covers off him. The mark was glowing on his forearm, it was taking hold on him.

"Dean?" You tried to wake him up, "Dean? Dean?!"

He wouldn't wake up, you kept shaking him. You grabbed a water bottle of the night stand and poured it on his neck and forehead. Still nothing. You grabbed his face, then suddenly you were in his dream.
