Midnight Protocol

"Make way for Princess Luna and Princess Nightingale," says the captain of the Midnight Protocol mares and stallions. The ponies take notice and immediately bow.
"Rise up and to your hooves," says Luna. They listen to her command and do so.
"Run through the star and quarter moon drills," says Luna. They do so.
"Do the crescent drill," says Luna. They do that too.
"Do the half moon drill," says Nightingale after watching her mother's lead. The ponies listen to her command and do the drill.
"You're ready to do this on your own," says Luna to Nightingale as she walks out of the room. Nightingale promises to make her mother proud.
"Shooting star formation," says Nightingale. Again, the soldiers listen. They listen to every command Nightingale gives and execute them flawlessly. Nightingale is pleased. Maybe commanding a bunch of soldiers isn't that hard or that bad a job after all.
