I made my way through the town (mostly taking the back streets), keeping an eye out for the inn. Soon, I spotted a nice wooden sign in a shape that reminded me of a shield. The words 'Melody Inn' were carved in the sign carefully and went over by bright blue paint. Next to the 'M' on melody and the second 'N' on inn were music notes.

The outside of the place itself was very nice looking which wasn't something I was really expecting. I was still shocked that the Princess was so nice to me, a Hylian, and the fact that she is allowing me to say at such nice looking inn doesn't make it any less strange.

The place had two floors, both with windows. Under the windows were flower pots with colorful flowers growing in them. I hesitated, setting my hand on the door handle before pulling it open.

The sent of coffee and a slight smell of beer filled the inside air. The beer most likely followed a guess who came from one of the bars around here as the coffee was probably just made here.

No one was in the main lobby but a older lady sitting at the front desk. The lady had grey hair yet you could tell it use to be brown due to some colored hairs sticking out a bit. She sat in her chair, filing her crow-like nails in silence, not even seeming to notice me at all.

I quietly approached the front desk as the lady suddenly looked up, causing me to jump a bit when she glared at me," excuse me but I think your lost. This isn't a place for dirt like you."

"I...The Princess said to go to the Melody Inn unless this i-isn't the place-" I was cut off by the lady.

"Which Princess would dare speak to someone like you?"

"P-Princess (Y/n), ma'am. Here, she said to give this to you," I pulled the paper out of my pocket, handing it the lady.

She narrowed her eyes, waving her hand," drop it on the desk."

I raised an eyebrow but did as I was told, dropping in on the desk. She reached over, grabbing a pen and using it to poke the paper open, acting as if if she touched it, she'd die. She kept poking at it until she was able to read the words which I could tell she didn't approve of since, the longer she read, the more disgusted she looked. She looked up at me for a second then turned in her chair, searching through a cabin behind her while whispering under her breath," I can't believe the Princess has asked something like this of me...sadly I can't deny her orders...Here we are."

She set a key on the desk in front of me, narrowing her eyes," you're in room 20. Second floor, all the way down the hall to the right. You can count and read right?"

"Yes, of course," I took the key, nodding as she leaned back in her chair, filing her nails.

"Don't you dare lose that key, you only get one. Take your paper too, I don't want it," I took the paper, putting it back in my pocket before smiling at the lady.

"Thank you, ma'am."

"Tch."

I hurried up the stairs of the place, following the lady's instructions on where my room was. At the end of the hall was my room, a golden '20' was painted on the door. I unlocked it, entering the place and smiling a bit at how nice it was.

It was a large room, one with a window, a desk, a bed, and a dresser. I closed the door, locking it, and dropped my things right there. I plan to unpack in the morning because right now all I want to do is sleep.

I fell face first onto the bed, liking how comfortable the blue bedding was. The room was painted the same light blue color as everything went perfectly together. I kicked off my boots before getting under the covers. I'll just wear the same outfit too sleep since I'm too tired to change even change...

I sighed, closing my eyes and going over what I did today in my head. I traveled all the way to the Capital, got framed for stealing, beat up, saved by a girl who, if she wasn't considered better than my race already, was a Princess, and helped out by the same girl even more.

Princess (Y/n)...Mr. Abberline told me about her once. When I was little, he would teach Amber and I about all the royal family members since it was something all children should know by the time they grow up. When he got to (Y/n)'s turn, he said that the Princess carries a dark past that people tend to always see her for. His exact words when mentioning her were 'she is a girl who is living proof of how war drives people to do monstrous things'.

I frowned at the thought of it all. Thinking about it only confused me more on why she would be so kind to someone who's race made her name forever ruined...

I watched from the shadows of the ally as the lights of the room went out making it so I could no longer see what was going on inside. I'm surprised that boy is still alive after what happened. I thought for sure he'd be beaten to death but then that damned member of the Royal family came to save his ass.

"What kind of game are they playing now?" The girl next to me sat on the ground, pouting," Is she trying to win over Hylians so they respect her when she becomes Queen cause if that boy's smart, he wouldn't believe her kindness is real."

"I wonder what she told him..."

"Probably brainwashed him-"

"-Go back, Olly," I cut her off while she looked to me with disbelief though I payed no attention to her. I simply stared at the inn.

"Go back? Go back?! Look here, you can't order me around cause your ain't my damn boss, alright? If your staying here, then I'm staying here!" Olly crossed her arms, standing up and stomped her foot against the ground. I turned around, walking into the shadows with my hands in my pockets.

"I'm going back too. There's no point in staying when that boy's already asleep," Olly watched me walk past her before huffing, marching right behind me.

"I thought you said we were going to confront him!"

"...We'll do that later. Right now its getting late and I need my beauty sleep," I yawned, stretching.

"Your a jerk! An ugly jerk that no amount of sleep can fix!"

"...Whatever..."

'I'll keep an eye on that boy and see what I can learn about him. Maybe he can be of use to all of us..."
