For the whole day, (y/n) had carried the same book around along with a journal, translating each and every page she could. Sometimes, she'd even ask bilingual servants around the castle if they knew what certain words meant.

Needless to say, she was determined to finish the story no matter how long it took. To her, it was a very interesting read. Her people didn't have a faith to follow yet the Hylians had such a complex one. So many questions ran through her mind about it. How did people know of these stories? Were they told by the goddesses themselves? Was it all true and, if so, why'd it all happen?

From what she had learned so far, the start of their land came with the three goddesses Link had mentioned; Farore, Nayre, and Din. The three had shaped the land and returned to the heavens while leaving behind a treasure known as the triforce.

Guarding such sacred gift was another goddess named Hylia who lived among inhabitants of the new land. They all lived in peace, at least, for a while they had.

An ancient evil had brought upon a bloody battle with the desire to steal the triforce for itself. The war lasted countless years until Hylia's chosen hero had come forward, giving his life to end the spreading reign of evil.

Out of grief for the fallen one, Hylia gave up her goddess form to be recreated as a normal Hylian who would live and die as everything does. Little did she know, all three souls would be cursed; cursed to be reborn to fight and stop the ancient evil whenever it made its appearance.

It became an endless loop. The goddess and hero's souls would be reborn in time to one day stop the returning evil, protecting Hyrule for generations while going down as legends themselves. It wasn't until a great battle had taken place again, nearly destroying the land of Hyrule completely, that powerful champions aided the heroes by using their magic to seal away the evil for hopefully eternity-

-Link grumbled, rolling onto his side to see (Y/n) still sitting at the desk across the room, her eyes glued to the damned book. It had been hours since the sunset and she was still wide awake it seemed.

"Can't it wait for tomorrow?" He sat up, rubbing his eyes tiredly. He could just go to sleep, however, it was a bit hard to do with the burning lamp's light.

"Let me finish this sentence," (Y/n) waved a hand at him, leaving the male to groan, falling back against the pillows.

It seemed like forever passed until the light went out with quiet shuffling following. Soon, the covers of the bed lifted and (Y/n) was at his side, staring up at the ceiling with a concentrated look.

"Have the goddess and hero ever been reborn since the Calamity?" She questioned, rolling to her side to face Link who turned his head to her.

"No one's seen them."

"What would happen if the evil came back and they weren't reborn? Would everyone be doomed?"

"I bet people would find a way to defeat it," Link sighed, being too grumpy when tired," they always do apparently."

He closed his eyes, trying to go to sleep again. (Y/n) sunk into the pillows, thinking for a bit before whispering,"...remember that riot that happened when we would've been kids? The one that resulted in my father banning the practice of Hylian religion?"

Link went to argue and tell her to go to sleep, but her next words stopped him from that,"...they broke into the castle gates and stood outside shouting that my father was the evil reborn and all Amadahians were apart of him. They claimed that, one day, the reborn goddess and hero would come and kill all of us, saving Hylian kind-"

Link pushed himself up, propping his head on his hand,"-don't believe that. People just use faith to back up random and outrageous arguments sometimes; that doesn't mean it's true."

"But what if-?" (Y/n) began, but he cut her off again.

"-There are no 'what ifs'. Your father isn't the reborn evil neither are any Amadahians. The goddess and hero aren't coming after any of you," when seeing the way she stared at him, he sighed, kissing her forehead. While pulling her closer to himself and setting his head on her shoulder, he whispered," besides, if they did, I wouldn't let any harm come to you...maybe its best if you don't read anymore of that book..."

"The book's fine. I was just thinking about that event. I never understood what it all meant until now is all," (y/n) muttered, kissing him before resting her head on the pillow," you know, the book says the triforce can grant wishes. If you could use it to wish for anything, what would it be?"

Link nuzzled his face in her hair with a shiver," a warmer Anicetus."

With the weather becoming colder, nights too dropped in temperature. This happened back home yet never to the extreme of in Anicetus. Despite a small fire burning in the room's fireplace, it still felt freezing.

(Y/n) snuggled closer to Link, shivering," I guess it never gets this cold in Amadahy."

"It's unbearable here," Link joked," cuddling helps, though. We can just stay like this all fall and winter."

"I wouldn't be against that idea," (y/n) chuckled, having to admit shared body heat did help quite a bit.

"What about you? What would you wish for?" Link asked tiredly, having to fight off sleep to hear her answer.

She put some thought into it," for everyone of all races to get along. I doubt even the triforce can do that completely, but even if just a little -like if my dad would just be accepting of Hylians himself. Then we could work together to fix things little by little. Everyone would just start accepting it with time..."

Link hummed, drifting off to sleep while (Y/n) lied awake, thinking more about her answer.

Her family always did say, if those of high rank do something, others will wish to copy. Perhaps that would be an answer to all the race problems they faced. If her family were to accept Hylians, and more importantly allow her to marry Link, maybe others would follow the example.

'As if my family would ever accept that,' she thought, closing her eyes and burying her face against Link's chest,' at least Anicetus isn't filled with racism. I can marry whoever I wish here whether Amadahian or Hylian.'
