(Link's P.O.V.)

Dear Princess (Y/n),

How have you been lately?  I hope you've been well. I wrote this letter to inform you that I've actually moved recently. I decided I would like to live here in the Capital more than in my old village. Yeah, a lot of people didn't like the idea back home. It started a lot of fights and arguments, but honestly, I think what I did was for the best. I want to be able to make my own choices in life, after all, I am 17. Maybe one day, everyone who was mad at me will understand my choice and we can all go back to our normal relationships.

I'm should apologize for writing this very awkward sounding letter to you...I'm not good with letters. Being on my own now, I don't really have too many people to talk to so I thought 'why not write to the Princess'. You're most likely busy with Princess-things, but I've already tried writing this letter ten times and I'm running out of paper. If you do get some free time, please write back. I'd love to here from you. Thanks and talk to you later (hopefully).

I wanted to slam my head into a wall after reading the letter over. I sound stupid, that's for sure. You can tell I have no idea what I'm doing. I really don't either.

At the moment, I waited by the castle gates, two guards giving me strange looks. I don't blame them. For one, I'm a Hylian who walked up asking to speak to Liam Lin, a knight of honor here. For two, I was most likely making faces while reading my letter. I'm surprised they even called for Liam in the end.

Sure enough, he came, one of the guards seeing him and hurrying to whisper something in his ear. Liam chuckled quietly, shaking his head and telling the guard something before coming over to me.

"Thank you for coming," I muttered, feeling embarrassed," what did that guard tell you?"

"That you were most likely a random drunk who lost his way."

"...of course he did..." I whispered.

Once again, Liam laughed," don't worry. It's probably because you're the only entertainment they've gotten in awhile. It can't be very interesting sitting and guarding one gate all day every day. So, what is it you needed from me?"

"I wanted to see if you'll give this letter to the Princess for me," I handed him the letter, my heart stopping a bit when he took it and nodded. I should have purposely dropped it in a puddle then told him I'd have to go home and write a new one. If luck's on my side, maybe (Y/n) won't have enough time to even read it at all.

"I'm sure she'll love to hear from you again. She talks about you a lot, you know," he said the last part under his breath, like it hurt to say or something.

"She talks about me?" I was shocked.

"Yep. The Princess goes on and on about you. Honestly, I've never seen her talk so much about someone before..." His eyes were directed to the side while he spoke.

I blushed, not being able to stop myself from smiling," t-that so? I can't really lie, I think of her a lot, too."

Liam frowned, but nodded slowly," I'll get this letter to her. Take care, Link."

"You, too. Thank you, Liam."

With that, he turned and left, not saying another word. I sighed, praying if (Y/n) had such an interest in me, maybe my letter wouldn't be too bad. Hopefully, she'd laugh and not think of me as an idiot...

Dear Link,

I don't mind receiving letters from you at all. I love hearing from you. Despite what you may think, my life as a princess isn't too busy nor is it too interesting. For the most part, work gets handed to my oldest siblings other than myself. I'm left to wonder aimlessly around the castle that or spend the day with Brooke. Speaking of Brooke, she hasn't stopped reminding me to say 'hi' to you the second I said who this letter was from. She, too, enjoys you company.

It's great news to hear you've moved to the Capital. It's a wonderful place to live and I'm sure you'll be very happy here. I'm sorry people in your village didn't like the idea, though. You told me at the Festival they were like family to you. I'm sure if that's true, they'll come to understand. My own family and I argue, but in the end, we always forgive each other. Expect one time when Sienna lost my favorite book...I'm still kind of mad about that, although, I guess I'm not too mad considering the fact that I'm laughing right now.

I feel like I'm writing forever. Forgive me if I am. Sienna's knocking on my door at the moment, asking what I'm doing. She has a very low patience. Being our older sister, she thinks it's her job to know what Brooke and I are doing all the time. Liam just went to go speak to her now. I better finish this letter fast or else she's going to see it and want to read everything. If you ever need someone to write to, I'm always here. We should hang out sometime, if you don't mind. I'd love an excuse to get away from my overprotective sister. I'll talk to you later, Link~

-Princess (Y/n) <3

(sorry for the long letter)

I found myself laughing to myself after reading such letter. The handwriting towards the end of the letter became more rushed, telling me Sienna really wanted to see what (Y/n) was doing. I can believe (Y/n) when she says Sienna's overprotective. She seems like the sister that would be way too controlling.

'She can make me smile when not even being here...' I rested my cheek on the palm of my hand, feeling how warm it felt. I didn't realize I was even blushing.

I didn't waste time grabbing a pen and piece of newly bought paper. I wanted to write back to her as soon as possible so that tomorrow, I can bring Liam the next letter like I told him I would. I don't know why, but I can't wait to see the Princess again even thought we haven't even talked about a day to meet up with each other. It's not like I love her, is it? We've only meet a few times before...then again, I always feel something different when with her, something I've never felt with any other girl.

Around (Y/n), I feel conformable yet a bit nervous like I'll say wrong thing, ruining the way she sees me. Whenever she laughs or smiles, I find myself wanting to freeze time so I could treasure that moment. The more I stare at her, the more I think about how beautiful she is...I want to say she's only a close friend I care deeply about, however, I think that would be the biggest lie I could ever tell myself. Thinking about it all now, I can't help but turn red!

...I guess...I guess I really do love her...
