Since the day was nice yet again, many people in Anicetus spent it outside and those in the castle were no different. Lots of the staff brought their work outside from the maids with their laundry and the chef's preparing food for later. According to Aatto, this often happened all over the kingdom. Aeshia felt no need to keep people trapped inside working when there was such lovely weather.

The gardens of the castle were much bigger than those of at Amadahy yet also more open which left plenty of room for a blanket to be laid out across the grass. There, (Y/n) and Liam sat while Aatto and Link practice nearby. True to his word, Aatto was teaching Link the art of a sword which he couldn't wait to learn.

"You are very skilled for no experience," the older man commented, their swords hitting together once again," almost as good as myself. Almost."

Link chuckled, swinging at him again," that can be debated."

(Y/n) smiled at the two before facing Liam," isn't this so much nicer than Amadahy? Everything here is peaceful and Aeshia makes it to where all her people can be happy. I wish my father did that."

"Yeah..." Liam sighed, trying not to think about back home too much. He didn't want anyone to suspect anything, after all.

"Speaking of Aeshia, I wonder what she's doing right now. I told her we'd be spending the day out here and that she should come join, but she said she had something to attend to," (Y/n) thought out loud, looking towards the castle.

"She is a Queen. There must be tons of things on her to-do list," (Y/n) hummed and nodded.

"Liam, you wanna come join? I bet your skills are a lot better than mine," Link called over, holding his sword out towards him with a smile while Aatto stood nearby, leaning on his sword.

"Yeah, I could use a challenge," he joked, the Hylian rolling his eyes.

"M-Maybe later," Liam held a hand out, looking away.

"How about you, Princess? Wanna give it a shot?" Aatto faced (Y/n) who laughed.

"Me? Use a sword?"

"Why not? I taught Aeshia how to use one. Come on~ Give it a try."

(Y/n) chuckled yet stood, walking over to the male who handed his sword over, stepping back and directing her on how to use it. Meanwhile, Link made his way over to the blanket, sitting down besides Liam," you alright?"

"Of course. Why wouldn't I be?" Liam smiled, however, Link frowned in return.

"Well, (y/n) and I, a-and you liking her-"

"-Link, I'm happy as long as you guys are happy. Just act like I'm not here. Don't worry about me."

Link smiled, watching (Y/n) swing the sword a few times, once almost hitting Aatto who simply laughed, waving off her apologies," thanks, man."

"No problem."

After a few minutes, Aatto and (Y/n) returned to the blanket as well. (Y/n) sat between Link and Liam, pecking her boyfriend's cheek," I'm not cut out for sword fighting."

"You did alright."

"I was horrible. I nearly killed Aatto."

Aatto chuckled," you should've seen Aeshia practice the first few times. Once, she swung the thing right out of her hands across the field. The sword ended up getting stuck in a tree."

Everyone laughed. Soon, a chef came over with lemonade and small sandwiches which were delicious snacks. Together, they sat in a semi-triangle with (y/n) leaned against Link, Aatto to their right, and Liam across from them.

Liam had to admit (y/n) and Link made a good couple. The way (Y/n) hugged Link's arm, her head leaned on his shoulder. At some points, Link would lean down to kiss her forehead then stop to look Liam's way with a worried expression. The former knight would simply smile, shaking his head as if to say without words," I don't mind."

It did hurt slightly, being honest, but he didn't want Link to feel like they had to stop being a couple around him.

After about an hour, Aatto had to leave to get back to work and Liam went back to the room he was staying in, claiming that he wanted to get some rest before dinner. Since they were on their own at that point, Link and (Y/n) decided to take a stroll around the garden.

Unlike the gardens in Amadahy, more people walked around than just them, and the gardeners didn't rush to leave you be. They simply bowed respectfully yet kept doing their work.

All the flowers were divided into groups of types and colors all following a rainbow scheme. There'd be some poppies, orange calla lilies, sunflowers, green hydrangeas, cornflowers, and purple irises to name a few. You name the flower and color, and it was there.

"Oh, look at these ones~" (Y/n) lead Link by the arm over to a patch of (f/c) (f/f)s, leaning close to them with a smile.

"Ekil uoy?" a nearby gardener with pink pain under her eye asked, pointing towards the flowers too.

"Hmm..." (Y/n) hesitated, not knowing what she said.

The gardener, getting the idea she didn't understand, giggled. Carefully, she cut one of the flowers and held it out to the Princess," ssenhgiH ruoY, og uoy ereh."

"T-Thank you," once again, the woman giggled, nodding.

Even Link chuckled, continuing to walk with (Y/n) who now held the flower in her hands, twirling it between her fingers and leaning into her boyfriend's chest," I really do like this place."

"I do, too," stopping down the path where no one was, Link took the flower, gently putting it between (Y/n)'s ear then letting his hand stay on her cheek," did I tell you 'you look beautiful today'?"

She chuckled, setting a hand on his arm," yes, multiple times actually, although, it is nice to hear."

"And did I tell you 'I love you'?"

Humming, (Y/n) pressed her lips together and pretended to think," hm...I think I might need another reminder on that one."

Without her having to say anything else, Link pressed his lips to hers, letting his other arm snake around her waist and pull her closer. Smiling into the kiss, (Y/n) wrapped her arms around his neck.

They stay like that for a moment before pulling away to catch their breathes. (Y/n) giggled, pressing another quick kiss on Link's lips," I can never get enough of that."

"Good, because neither can I."
