Chapter 26: Why is My No Good Father Back?

Flashback~

Charity's P.O.V.~

  "Hey Charity!" Lance called me from the kitchen as I cleaned up a table. "Your cellphone has been ringing nonstop for a while- I think you should answer it."

  "Oh! Alright-" I said and wiped my hands with a towel. "Can you take over then?"

   Lance nods and exits the kitchen. "You should really change your ring tone- It gets annoying after a while."

   My face began to flush into a deep crimson.

  "I don't actually know how to change it in the first place." I confessed to him, making him laugh a bit.

    "I'll help you later." He said and I quickly thanked him, then rush to my locker in the staff room.

   When I opened my phone, I saw thirty six missed called from my mother. I couldn't even remember the last time she called me this many times in a row. 'I wonder what's wrong..'

   I immediately dial back to my mother and waited for it to ring once. My mom immediately answered it.

"Charity," she said, in a rushed tone. "You need to come home now.. There is something I've been hiding from you this whole time."

"Oi, mom," I said. "If this is some overused cliche joke, I don't want to hear it."

I heard my mom sighed. "If only it was some cliche joke.. Just come home. Please."

My mom hardly used please to me unless something is seriously wrong'

"Alright, I'll be home soon then, I'll just have to tell Mr. Sakura about this first." I replied and hanged up my phone.

Present time~

I just arrived home and before I could take out the key to my home, my mother had appeared in front of me and opened the door silently.

"I'm so sorry about this," she said. "He just came unexpectedly."

"He?" I wondered out loud. You mean a person? Like Santa.?

My mother grimaced. "Yeah.. The no good man is back.."

I blinked. "Sorry?"

"Charity," I heard a familiar voice call behind my mother. "It's been a while."

I did not want to hear this voice and I never would. I grimaced as my mom moved away to see my father.

"I'm back~"
