"You mean the fact that the emperor doesn't like my family very much and me being an empress elect is just a way to get rid of me and throw it at my father's face" Jiang paused and stared straight at Fang Mu , "Yes I am well aware" Jiang said and Fang Mu brows creased as he pulled out his sword and pointed it at Jiang's neck.

Fang Mu for the first time in his life was stunned, he didn't expect her to state the fact so bluntly and calmly, there was no anger, resentment or fear in her eyes, for an instant Fang Mu thought he even saw understanding, not understanding for her situation but understanding as to why the emperor will do such a thing, there was confusion in her eyes too probably due Fang Mu pointing a sword at her.
"So what do you plan to do about it?" Fang asked and she stunned him yet again,
"His Majesty must have his reasons for punishing my father by taking away his beloved daughter, father must have truly wronged his majesty" Jiang looked into the distance sadly, His downcast eyes were lonely and so sad that anyone who saw it couldn't help but ache for him and Fang Mu was no exception, he wanted to pull her close and comfort her, he wanted to tell her not to look so sad and alone because he was here for her but then he realized how crazy his thoughts were, he had just met her moments ago at the grand hall and now here so why is he already so drawn to her.
Fang Mu looked deeply at the lady before him with wary eyes and thought women were truly dangerous and he should keep a distance from them like he have always done, he brought back his sword to his shield and wanted to leave before he does something that when his friend finds out he won't be pleased.
"But I don't want to be anyone's scapegoat anymore, not ever again" Jiang took a step towards Fang Mu and Fang Mu unconsciously took a step back, Jiang looked confused at his actions and Fang Mu got embarrassed too, his ears were red and he mentally scolded his self for reacting so absurd.
He cleared his throat and try to regain some of his composure and dignity "so I must fight to live and if it means asking you even if the chances that you will help me are slim then so be it, there have never been a crime in trying" Jiang said and Fang Mu snorted.
Fang Mu stared at Yue Lei intimidatingly and she stared back, not once did she show him any weakness.
"There are only two ways you could increase your strength in the palace, the first way will be to visit the Palace Pavilion and purchase some pills but I must warn you not to consume too much of those pills because it will be detrimental to you future growth" Fang Mu said.
Jiang smiled at Fang Mu, he thought he really was a good person to even bother to tell him the dangers involved in taking too much of such pills despite the fact that the emperor won't be pleased, he felt he owed Fang Mu yet again.
Those pills could not be consumed too frequently due to the fact that those pills impurities were never completely distilled during the process of making the pills, the pills weren't a hundred percent pure and as a result even their effect was lessened but Jiang had already thought about this method earlier and had a hunch that his space ring might be able to be able to assist him moreover he felt earlier that no type of impurities could affect his body or cultivation.
"And the second way?" Jiang asked because he noticed Fang Mu was hesitating to say it.
"Well this second way will assist you even more quickly but it's impossible for you to assess it"
"Why?" Jiangs frown deepens
"Because its at the emperor's Huang palace" he said and Jiang shuddered at that, the Huang palace was the emperor's personal dwelling place, he wasn't suicidal to try going there.
"In the Emperor's Huang Palace there is a spirit ascension pond and if you soak in it your strength will instantly skip a whole realm" Fang Mu was talking so seriously and so probably failed to see in Jiangs eyes was unease, Jiang couldn't take it anymore and then waved at him.
"No need to continue, I would never go there even if I was blind, so I don't need to know about this spirit ascension pond but I am highly grateful to you and if I can in the future, I will return this favor" Jiang said.
"That felt nice" Fang Mu laughed lightly and Jiang looked on confusingly, Fang Mu is a tease to only those close to him so he couldn't understand why he was being this way with Yue Lei
Fang Mu then decided to elaborate "You looked really stressed out when I mentioned Huang Palace, your reaction was priceless " he said, he could never see her true face, just her eyes but those eyes spoke volumes.
Jiang didn't respond but just rolled her eyes at him which made Fang Mu think Yue Lei and the Emperor were alike in that aspect.
Jiang though that this Fang Mu was been silly, who would want to go to a tigers nest in the first place, especially one that was vicious, merciless extremely strong and bent on killing said person, even if a priceless jewel was there he wouldn't dare go after it since life is most important.
"I will get permission to enter for you but it can't happen before your first fight so you will have to use the first option for now also I hope you live until then empress elect" Fang Mu bowed slightly again with a mischievous grin playing on his face before walking off.

The moment Jiang entered his room he immediately sat down and then sent his spirit into the space ring residing in his core, he had long since though that the heavenly jade cauldron had something to do with pills, he was going to find out if his guess was reliable.
His spirit went into the cauldron and inside it was still the name "Heavenly Jade Cauldron" as Jiang studied the cauldron he realised at the other end of the cauldron were written words, he read them out "The world gave birth to me and now you own me, maybe you will be worthy to become my true master" Jiang felt his spirit was jolted out of the space ring and back to his body after reading those words his head hurts a lot and before him was the heavenly jade cauldron, the pressure coming from the cauldron was really astonishing.
Jiang quickly sent his spirit back to the space ring and the space seemed to have changed into a very vast land filled with an unbelievable strong among of mana, he could feel strongly the mana of all elements, the sand was golden, the sky was golden, everything in this space seemed golden, it shined so brightly that it could blind the eyes.
Jiang couldn't explore the space since almost immediately he took a glance of the space his spirit was pushed out again and there he was before the mighty cauldron.
Jiang didn't think too much as he tried to contract the cauldron for his self, he felt like since other treasures will have to be personalized by dripping blood then this one shouldn't be any different .
Once he had personalized the heavenly jade cauldron a whole bunch of information about how to make different types of pills, to grow seeds and harvest the plants needed for pill making began to flood his mind, the more information his brain tried to process the more his head hurt terribly, it was the excruciating type of pain.
when the information eventually stopped Jiang was soaked in his own sweat, he felt drenched and exhausted but wasn't ready to sleep.
"Master why are you so weak?" Jiang heard a child's voice in his head and that startled and frighten him senseless.
