In the imperial study as Bai Kang walked into the study he shook his head as he thought of Liang Na's earlier attitude, Fang Mu was looking over some scrolls while sitting on another seat beside the emperor's own seat.
"That Liang Na really doesn't have a good attitude, I wonder what master was thinking when he had the idea of making her his empress, even her strength is so so " chief eunuch Bai Kang said more to himself than to Fang Mu, he didn't even care to address her by her noble title young mistress anymore, His stern looking face had disappeared and what remained was a funny looking face with pouting lips.
If others saw this Bai Kang they would be stunned speechless, his facade was thrown to wind and he behaved like a child but such behavior on that middle aged face didn't look adorable at all.
"I believe your master my friend will realise soon enough that power isn't everything and that to be empress attitude counts too" Fang Mu said tiredly.
"We are so like minded Young master Fang Mu" Bai Kang flashed a childish smile towards Fang Mu direction.
Fang Mu had dropped the scroll he was reading long ago and was now staring at Bai Kang with an eye raised "Behaving like that with that appearance really doesn't look cute" Fang Mu said and Bai Kang huffed and puffed " I don't want to look cute" he said grudgingly, he looked like he was remembering a distant painful past, Fang Mu would have laughed if he didn't have something serious to discuss with Bai Kang.
Fang Mu has been gazing at chief eunuch Bai Kang with piercings eyes for a while now, he didn't say a word and just stared, the pressure Fang Mu was letting out couldn't hold a candle to Bai Kang's own true pressure if he chose to let it out yet the ever so composed Bai Kang shifted uncomfortably when meeting Fang Mu cold, questioning gaze.
Bai Kang finally couldn't take it anymore and blunted out "Young master Fang Mu, why are you staring at this old uncle like that, it's really not polite" Bai Kang deadpanned said, He wasn't an ordinary servant so he didn't need to act all refined and humble in front of someone who knew him too well.
"Old uncle my foot, Where is that lazy, gallivanting master of yours? " Fang Mu was clearly enraged, the stress he have been experiencing finally got the better of him, He didn't let his eyes leave Bai Kang for a second as he asked sternly.
"How would I know?" Bai kang said grudgingly, his voice was no longer sounding like that of a middle aged man but like that of a five or six years old child.
"You should know better than to lie to me Bai Kang and stop pouting with that face" Fang Mu snapped, everything Bai Kang did seemed to annoy him, since he can't be annoyed at the absent emperor then his aid was the best target to receive his rage.
Bai Kang eyes turned red and he looked grievously at Fang Mu, this action made Fang Mu soften his heart and relent a bit after all he knew Bai Kang's real identity and couldn't treat him too harshly "Don't be sad, I am sorry for taking out my stress on you, you know I wasn't born to do this kind of work, I am not the emperor for crying out loud" Fang Mu spoke like the whole of Tang Qin Shang was on his shoulders, distress was written all over his face.
"Since you are master's best friend doing this little is expected of you, by doing this your bond with master will only grow stronger" Bai Kang said in his child like voice again.
Fang Mu's forehead were filled with black lines upon hearing this, it was like he was hearing his friend the emperor speak, In his mind he uttered "Like master like companion"

When Jiang's room entered Liang Na's line of sight she immediately started to chant with a sinister smile plastered on her beautiful face, no matter how ferocious she looked, it couldn't diminish her beauty " I call on the elements, I call on my element fire" as she spoke fire began to gather on her palm, Liang Na thought that even though she was not allowed to fight with Yue Lei before the competition she could still cause trouble and scare the living day light out of her "....send down your fury" As she finished chanting a big fire ball had formed on her palms and was swirling around it, The moment it formed Liang Na was standing in front of Jiang's door, she didn't waste any time at all and blasted the fire ball towards Yue Lei door.
Jiang's door instantly turned to ashes, there was no single wood to show that a door was once there, even the ashes of the burnt door was blown away by the wind.
Liang Na controlled the fireball so well, that apart from the door nothing else was burned, But if Jiang had been near that door he would have gotten burned badly or he could have died.
Liang Na's goal was to burn Yue Lei and claim it was an accident. She believed the emperor wouldn't mind if she disfigured Yue Lei since he didn't want Yue Lei as his empress and he had a deep hatred for General Lei.
Han Sheng , Jiang's little eunuch, had just come over to check if Jiang had returned. He was shocked to see what was happening.
The power from the blast sent him flying back, his body colliding with a tree. His skin has been slightly burned and some of his ribs have broken.
Han Sheng was lucky he wasn't any closer to Liang Na when she blasted that fire ball, if he was his injuries would be more devastating.
On the other hand, Liang Na was unhurt by the fireball that had just been in her palm. Because she is a fire elemental, to her fire to her didn't have any heat and couldn't hurt her.
"Yue Lei, step out this instant for this young mistress" Liang Na said arrogantly. She knew that the little eunuch was hit by the shockwave from her earlier attack and was in serious pain, but she completely ignored him. Treating him like air, she didn't care if he lived or died.
