RECAP

After a long while the emperor suddenly saw himself stepping out of the same carriage close to the area he had been ambushed before and also he noted that he wasn't a trash anymore, he even seemed to expect what was to come and planned his escape, also his appearance had a big change, this appearance the emperor was very familiar with.

#####

The emperor experienced all of Jiang's past memories for himself using the seer's technique, 'A trip to the past: Subject: Jiang, or previously the boy with no name'. When the memories faded he immediately woke up, soaked in sweat with beads of said liquid ruing down his forehead, onto his face, down his neck to only to be soaked up by his garments. Despite perfectly training in this seer's technique, he had never used it before. Thus he didn't expect his whole body to be in pain, his strength sapped out of him as well as having the sensation of his body being boneless.

"It seems like the heavens are sending me a warning, telling me that looking into people's past isn't natural." the emperor hissed as he started meditating in other to regain his strength and stamina. He always believed having the ability to see the past and future was against the natural order of things so he never used such techniques but despite his stance on the matter, he wondered if using this particular technique on other cultivators would be as tasking on him and his body or if this was an indication that Jiang was special thus he had to exert more effort.

After a period of intense meditation the emperor regained his former level of strength. All through his mediation exercise, he analyzed his experience of walking through Jiang's memories. He couldn't understand why some of Jiang's memories seemed to be restricted, especially at the time when he 'solved' his problem of the two poison within his body thus eradicating the two poisons and getting his true appearance back while also been able to cultivate.

The Emperor looked at Jiang intently, "My, my, Jiang your body seems to hold a lot of secrets." he mused. It is interesting to note that the emperor didn't have the slightest interest in discovering what those secrets were but what he did care about was the despicable General Lei's household. Not only had the members of that terrible household wronged him but also had done unspeakable things to his future empress, he swore in his heart that since Jiang couldn't get revenge then he, Emperor Qin Jie Haung, would do it for them both.

"My empress since you made a promise to your dear mother not to seek revenge against those who wronged you, I have no problem with that. But I made no such promises so do not blame me for taking certain actions against them for in the future, also I make this solemn vow Jiang, I will never hurt you like I did today intentionally, if I do then let the heavens seek justice on your behalf against me."

Thus the emperor finally accepted the fact that his heart had chosen a male person to be his empress. Suddenly his head seem to hurt and his eyes began to turn muddled again. Jiang's face before him kept changing to the male enchantress that had destroyed his father and mother's love as well as his life. He tried to suppress the voices trying to confuse him again, trying to push him into that berserk state, where he lost all sense of reasoning with the focus on killing Jiang.

An epiphany opened up in his mind making him realize the reason behind this sudden irrational urge. He remembered his own past, specifically when he was newly made the true emperor of Tang Qin Shang. At that time, he was at his lowest emotionally due to his family's ill fate, he spoke out in anger and bitterness.

That particular nigh it had rained heavily as they were in the middle of a storm making the night even gloomier. The just enthroned emperor silently stood at the tippy top of the Tang realm, which was at the tallest building in the imperial palace, which was in the shape of a pyramid and was used as a testing ground. The strong winds blew his robes about and seeing him from afar, it seemed like he would be knocked off from the buildings sharp pointed tip of the building.

In the darkness of the night, the white robe he wore that day made him look mysterious and enchanting adding to this image was his red hair which was being whipped about by the storm's winds and his irises which were glowing red.

He looked up to the sky and declared, "I vow to the heavens never to fall for a man, never to bring a man into the inner court and if my ancient ancestor's rules chose such a person for me then I will have no choice but to break the rules and defile the heavens if need be!" After those words where said, there was a strong thunder bolt in the sky and for days it continued to rain hard. Now looking back, the emperor thought that his ancient ancestors as well as the heavens were in cahoots as they planned for this to happen so as to teach him a lesson and must be laughing hard at him seeing his predicament.

Vows made to the heavens were no joke, the heavens seemed to be working in accordance with his previous vows thus making him want to kill the boy he had fallen in love with at all cost, after all he made a vow not to fall for a man.

Emperor Qin Jie Haung ground his teeth and tried to suppress the killing intent that was crammed in him and was about to overflow. As he, the emperor never lacked in intelligence, his mind stubbornly gave him a solution. Inwardly he said to himself "So what if I made a vow to never be with a man, I can break that vow because I was born to go against the heavens. If the 'heavens' dare to stands in my way then all I have to do is destroy it."  His determination reached a level that his red colored eyes started to glow, his arrogant seemed to have angered the heavens since from inside Jiang's room the sound of countless thunder  strikes could be heard but the clouds were not dark and neither was there any rain, Qin Jie Haung did like he heard nothing, all his attention was on Jiang.

He looked sadly at Jiang's face that still held a hint of distress and then said with determination and resolve the emperor told Jiang, "Jiang I will have to stay away from you until I can get rid of my past shadow. Be safe and remember as my first disciple you are not allowed to disappoint me. You are also not allowed to die in any of the trials you will face in this empress elect competition. You must win because in this life you and only you can be this emperor's empress."

Once those words were said, Jiang's disturbed expression seemed to vanish into thin air replaced with a peaceful appearance and this made the emperor smile. He then stood up from his sitting position beside Jiang but as he exited he whispered, "When you become my empress, I will bestow you a more majestic name, one more fitting of your character and struggles, a name more deserving of you." Those words were a promise and a declaration of his love and commitment to Jiang.

Out of the shadows of the night a figure came forth, it wasn't Lu Han this time but Bai Kang, the chief eunuch of the imperial palace. "Zhuren how long do you plan on staying here, the court is in disarray and Fang Mu ordered me to tell you that if you are not back before a breath in time, he will go out find and come get you himself and you really don't want that Zhuren" Bai Kang's tone was that of a pouting teenager, a complete contrast to the tone and voice he uses in the imperial palace.
