Second Person POV:

Arm in arm, you and Draco walk down the hall from the Slytherin dorms to breakfast.  You two have been dating for about three months now, despite the abundant number of criticisms from many of your schoolmates.  You were the rare but nice Slytherin.  The one who would stand up for the underdog, instead of kicking them in the stomach.  The one who would help out anyone regardless of blood status or wealth.  The one who never only saw the bad in people and assumed the best.  When you and Draco initially started going out, many people would yell and say things like "that Malfoy's no good for her!", "she deserves better!", and "how the hell are they together?".  You both ignored all of them because their opinions didn't matter.  What really mattered was the fact that you were together and nothing else.  You two entered the Great Hall, all the gazes in the room locking in on you two.  Murmurs and whispers fill the room as you two sit together at the Slytherin table with Draco's friends.

"Hey, y/n," Theodore Nott says with a nod of his head.  You smiled in return, still holding Draco's arm firmly.  "What's up?  It's Sunday.  Draco tells me you two have something big planned for today...."

"It's was going to be a surprise, Theo.  I was going to tell her later," Draco says, glancing at you.    "I had it all set up.  We were going to sneak out to Hogsmeade and have lunch together...  Thanks a lot for ruining it, Theo."

"You planned all that for me?" you ask.

"Of course y/n.  I want to treat my girlfriend the way she deserves to be treated...." Draco says, pulling you against his body by your waist.  "...like a princess."

You blush and peck Draco's cheek with your lips lightly. He blushes and smiles back at you.

"Come on, you two," Blaise groans, slumping over to let his head be supported by his hands.  "Stop with the public displays of affection for now.  It's not even 8:00 and you already look like you're going to start snogging each other."

"Come on, Blaise," you sigh.  "Just because we're together doesn't mean we don't have any common courtesy.  Draco wouldn't ever go too far in public."

"I'd have to disagree with you, y/n," Draco admits, shaking his head.  "You have no idea how much I want to snog you senseless every second we're together.  I don't care if we're in a room full of people.  I'll make out with you anywhere.  I want everyone to know that we're together."

You smile at him and press your forehead against his lovingly.  He kisses you on the lips and you wrap your arms around his neck.

"Blech!" Pansy snarls, taking a seat next to Blaise.  "Gross!"

"What?" you ask, staring at Pansy angrily.  "You wouldn't say 'blech' if it was you instead of me!  Are you still bitter about Draco and I being together?"

"It's been nearly three months and a half, Pans," Theo says.  "Get over it.  They're together and you can't change that...  Draco made his choice after all... when you confronted him."

"To hell with that!" Pansy exclaims.  "He was obviously not in his right mind!  She has him under one of her spells!  That's what's making him all soft towards the bloody Gryffindors!  He doesn't even torment them anymore!"

"Come on, Pansy.  When you suddenly confessed your love to Draco three months ago in the common room, Draco couldn't have been under a spell like that.  He was talking shit about Potter..." Blaise says, trying to snap some sense into Parkinson.

"True, true, Blaise.  I also know that what Draco feels is genuine.  It's all he ever talks about.  Y/n, this, y/n that, guess what y/n and I did today!"  Theo adds.  "Face it, Pansy.  You lost Draco to y/n and you're jealous."

"No," she snaps. "I'm not... jealous.  And I'm most certainly not bitter!"

Suddenly Pansy lunges across the table, knocking over various blows of food and boxes of Owl O's, grabbing and groping, trying to tackle and strangle you.

"YOU DON'T DESERVE HIM YOU BITCH!" she howls, lunging forward, trying to grab you from across the table.  Draco quickly wraps his arms around you to protect you from her clawing motions.  Goyle stands up and grabs pansy and pulls her away from the table, still hollering.  "I'LL GET YOU BACK FOR THIS Y/N!  THIS ISN'T OVER!  DRACO IS MINE!  MINE, MINE, MINE!  YOU'LL NEVER BE GOOD ENOUGH!  HE'LL SEE YOU FOR WHAT YOU REALLY ARE SOON ENOUGH AND HE'LL COME RUNNING BACK TO ME!  JUST YOU WAIT!  I'M THE ONLY ONE GOOD ENOUGH FOR MY DRAKIE-POO!  MIIIIINE"

She disappears around the corner, dragged by Crabbe and Goyle, struggling against their weights, still hollering loudly.  The entirety of Hogwarts is looking in your direction again and you turn red.

"Well... That escalated quickly, y/n," Draco remarks, grinning.   You smile and give him another peck.

"Now, now, you two.  Stop that," Blaise says. "I may vomit."

You laugh and give Draco a hug.  You two eat breakfast together and begin to leave together after about a half an hour.  You walk back to the door and you hear whispers and chuckles coming from the Gryffindor table.

"That y/n girl's such a little slut." you hear.  "She's a truly awful girl.  And so ugly, too..."

Draco swerves around to face the Gryffindors.

"WHO THE HELL SAID THAT?!" he shouted, his eyes glancing up and down the table.  There are a few seconds of silence until Seamus Finnigan stands up and walks down the length of the tables to stand face to face with Draco.

"I did," he brags, boastful.

"What the hell, Finnigan?" Draco spits.  "What's the reason for those remarks against my girlfriend?"

"It's it obvious?  She's dating you, Malfoy.  She looks like one of those girls who sneaks off to snog any boy she can lure into a broom closet every day!" he sneers.  "She's the ugliest girl I've ever seen.  Marcus Flint and Crabbe's son would be a better girl than her!"

You open your mouth to retaliate in anger but Draco grabs Finnigan by the collar tightly.

"Don't you dare say those things about y/n!  She's a wonderful girl!  She's sweet, kind, and caring.  She takes care of everyone around her.  She's anything but a slut, Finnigan," Draco shouts.  He lets Finnigan go and takes a swift punch to his face.   Doubling over, Finnigan clutches his face, blood starting to leak from his nose.  You gasp.

"Draco!" you say.  Draco ignores you and picks you up bridal style, walking out of the Great Hall.  "I can protect myself, Draco...  You really didn't have to do that."

"I had to do that, y/n!  Nobody can badmouth you.  Not on my watch.  Ever."
