First Person POV:

I stir uncomfortably in my hammock suspended from the ceiling as I wake up.  I sit up slightly and blink my eyes open.  I scoot over to the side of the hammock and let myself down to the ground, careful not to wake the people under me in their hammocks.

"Oi, y/n.  Here's some food Abeforth sent us," Seamus Finnigan says, handing me a ceramic bowl full of grey sludge with some sort of white, stringy material that seems to be a form of meat.

"What is it?" I ask uneasily, taking the bowl in my hands and sitting down.

"I don't know.  It's either pork or chicken.  I can't tell anymore.  All of it's all god awful," Seamus sighs.  "So.  Any new ones?"

"Oh yeah.  The Carrows gave me this one yesterday.  I made the mistake of not coming back here immediately after class.  They caught me," I say, showing off a new set of cuts and bruises on my arms.

"Ouch...," Seamus hisses, looking at the black and blue spots and scabbed over gashes.  I sigh, too, and stare at the ground.  Seventh year wasn't supposed to be like this.  Voldemort's in charge now and Hogwarts isn't like it should be.  First years are being tortured and nobody's safe unless they're on his side.  Everything's dark and depressing.  I don't know how anyone can last through this.

"Y/n?" someone says, waving a hand in front of my face.  "Y/n?  Are you okay?"

"What?!" I say, jerking my head up.

"It's obvious, Finnigan," Ginny sighs taking a seat next to me.  "She misses him."

"Oh, yeah.  You haven't seen him since the end of last year because he's off doing Death Eater stuff...," Seamus realises, nodding his head.  "I still can't believe that you of all people still love him after all-"

"I know, I know...  I've already had that lecture from Harry, Ron, Hermione, Padma, Parvati, Lavender...  You name it.  They've all given me a lecture about how evil my boyfriend is and that I'm insane for missing him and wanting to be with him, but nobody knows Draco like I know him," you cut off Seamus.

"Look, you know I don't like him, but I know he means a lot to you, especially since fourth year. It sucks not being able to see the people you care about.  My brother left a long time ago, too.  I worry about him all the time,"  Ginny sighs.  "I can't believe he's out there.  I didn't know he had it in him."

"I totally understand that Draco's on the dark side, but that's not what Draco is.  He's not evil.  You may see Draco as this malicious bully, but he has a good heart.  It's just hard for him to show it," you sigh, beginning to reminisce about the past few years.

"Why don't you just go and see him if you're that desperate to see him?" Seamus asks.

"Too risky.  I could get caught by the carrows and if I associate with Draco he's at risk of being punished, too," I sigh.  "I know the time will come when we can be together again.  I can feel it."

Another day is almost gone.  Sitting in the Room of Requirement again, I try to finish my homework, but I can't focus.  All I can do is remember the screams of the students in punishment coming from the dungeons.  I close my eyes and try to ward off the thoughts.  A low creak comes from up above and the portrait of the girl in the blue dress opens slowly.
