All Hallows' Eve

    "I refuse to be believe that you managed to plan this behind my back."

Panay ang salita ko habang naglalakad kami ni Senri. I know where he's taking me, andito lang naman kasi kami sa labas ng bahay. Hindi ko lang alam kung ano ang pakulo niya ngayon. By now, I read Senri with ease kaya na ba-badtrip ako because I didn't see this coming. We agreed na walang suprises ang mangyayari. Kahit ilang paalala ko at "Oo" ang sagot niya noon, hindi pala din niya susunurin.

"Well I did so believe it."

"Liar." I grumbled bago ko kurutin ang kamay niyang naka takip sa mga mata ko. I heard him wince but he immediately regains composure.

"Hey, a suprise can't be pulled without a few white lies."

Tama nga naman but still.

Dapat ngayon sanay na ako sa mga 'surprises' niya. Senri does stuff on his own sometimes lalo na noon for the kids. With all the stuff going on right now, hindi ko na inisip na gagawin pa niya ito.

"Ito na ba ang katapusan ko? After all these years you're finally fed up with me. Is it my time to meet Luna?"

I can pratically hear him rolling his eyes. Gusto kong tumuwa pero pinigilan ko.

"Don't be dramatic. I won't get rid of you even if I wanted to."

"Good to know." Tumawa na ako. "It's fun to mess with you sometimes."

I heard him sigh before saying, "You annoy me sometimes."

"You married me, I have the right to annoy you for the rest of your life."

"No regrets here, princess."

Trust him to turn our little banter into something sweet. I hate him.

"I smell something funny." Nag frown ako. Nasa garden lang lang naman kami, ano yung amoy na 'yon?

Tumigil ako sa paglalakad kaya tumigil din siya. I faced him, with his hands still over my eyes. "Naligo ka ba?"

"Kanina pa tayo magkasama ngayon mo lang tinanong 'yan?"

"Malay mo naman." I lean down to smell his shirt. Nope, he still smells like lavanders, it's definitely not him. "Eh ano 'yon?"

"Kung sasabihin ko edi wala ng suprise"

We continue walking. I remember walking in Sinclaire Cemetery. Para jump back in time lang itong ginagawa namin ngayon... wait.

"Are those scented candles?" Nalaman ko na kung saan galing ang amoy na yon!

"Yeah"

I'm right! Para saan kaya 'yon? Lakas ng trip nito ngayon ha. "Para saan?"

Instead of answering, tinanggal na niya ang kamay niyang naka takip sa mukha ko.

Under the sycamore tree are a circle of candles creating a little spot for us. It wasn't much but it made my heart pound.

"Iaalay mo na ba ako?" Nagawa ko pang sabihin.

Senri rolled his eyes. "I expected you'd say that."

"Joke lang!" Kinurot ko ang ilong niya. "Anong meron nga?"

Senri held my hand and lead us right in the middle of the circle.

"This is so cheesy," asar ko pa. Napa ngiti naman siya.

He stops right in front of me and lifts my hand to his lips. He gives me his jaw dropping smile before letting go.

He steps back and bows, he turns his gaze up still grinning like a fool and then he offers his hand. "Miss human, will you dance with me?"

Instead of laughing at his crazy antics, a sob escaped my lips. Sunod-sunod na tumulo ang luha ko.

I remember asking myself if I'm dreaming that night. Maybe I pinched myself too because it all seemed unreal. Senri Sinclaire asking me for a dance? The seventeen year old me will call bluff.

Now, it's not so hard to believe anymore.

This isn't a dream. Senri Sinclaire is here and he's mine. I created a life with him and wouldn't have it any other way.

"Whether you like it or not you're going to dance with me. You have no choice." Siya na mismo ang umabot sa kamay ko because I'm still crying. Bakit ba kasi ang babaw ng luha ko ngayon?

Senri wraps his arm around my waist before kissing my forehead, he's worried now kasi iyak ako nang iyak. "Is it too much?"

No Senri it's not.

Niyakap ko muna siya para kumalma ako and when I finally did, I lift my head to face him. "Paano tayo makakasayaw? Wala namang tugtog."

He smiled after hearing the exact same words I told him that night.

With one tap on his phone, the song plays on the little speaker he prepared.

Bloodstream.

"Bloodstream, how ironic." That night is so clear to me because I'm with someone I can never forget. Senri makes me remember every moment, every feeling.

"Don't ruin the moment." He smirks. He, too, remembers every bit of that night.

"Hindi pa din ako marunong sumayaw"

"I know." He chuckles. "Just follow my lead."

All the parties we attend, siguro naman natuto na ako pero hindi. I'm still a bad dancer at naapakan ko pa din siya minsan. Both of my arms are wrapped around his neck. Mahigpit ang yakap ko sa kanya as he takes the lead.

I think I might've inhaled you
I can feel you behind my eyes
You've gotten into my bloodstream
I can feel you flowing in me

"You ran out of ideas, didn't you?" I whispered in content as I listened to the song I became addicted to because of him.

Senri laughs. "What else can I possible give to a person who has everything she needs?"

He's right. What can I possibly need when I already have everything?

Senri, Zeus, Aiane, and Blake are my everything.

Tears fill my eyes again as I hug him tighter. I lift my head after a second but still kept my eyes close. His lips are on my temple as he said the words that still make my heart melt.

"Happy Birthday, princess. I love you."

I held his face between my hands, admiring the features I already memorize. Senri smiles, showing his dimples.

Nakakainis talaga minsan pag ngumingiti 'to. He always gets his way with that smile of his.

"I love you. I love you. I love you" I keep repeating those three words as I showered his face with kisses.

And finally, I settled on his lips. But before I can kiss him, pinigilan niya ako.

"The kids are watching us from the roof." He motioned behind us. From our position, we can clearly see three figures sitting on the roof of Aiane's balcony.

Blake even waved at us bago ito sinaway ni Aiane. Zeus is just smiling at the two, he doesn't care if their cover is blown.

"They're part of this, aren't they?"

"They prepared it while I kept you occupied." Senri laughed when the kids started cheering for him.

He made an "ok" sign as a reply to his cheering team.

Senri glances at me with a questioning look because of how I'm staring at him. "What?"

I just smiled and settled on kissing his cheek. I rest my head on his shoulder and lay my hand right above his heart, feeling it beat through my fingers.

This, right now, is the life I want and I can never ask for anything more.
