{ Best Friends }

Friends will comfort you when someone breaks up with you...
But best friends.....

Lucy cuddled herself inside the warmth of her blankets. Tears fell down silently on a picture.
"You jerk!" She screamed throwing it at the wall.
"Luce?" And as if he sensed her emotions, she looked up to see a pink haired salamander. Lucy sniffled.
"You were right Nasu..." She whispered. Knowing what that meant Natsu clenched his fists and ran outside of the apartment leaving Lucy inside alone.

"You dumba**!" He screamed socking a blonde haired guy.
"What the he**?!" He asked wiping the blood from his mouth.
"You don't deserve Lucy! Anyone will he lucky to have her!!" Natsu screamed out of anger.
"I hate seeing her cry.." He thought.
Then he smirked at him.
"It's because your gay isn't it?" Natsu said amused.

Lucy looked up once she hear the window open. Natsu grinned at her.
"Don't worry Luce he learned his lesson." Lucy smiled softy and got up.
"Come on Natsu let me see your hand it's busted."

Will make sure he won't hurt you anymore..

Friends will bail you out of jail..
But best friends....

"Erza is going to scowl is or even worse... punish us..'' Lucy shuddered remembering the great Titania's anger. She sighed and laid against the cold dark bars. But unlike her, Natsu was happy like a child on christmas.
"Wasn't that awesome Luce?!" Natsu said enthusiastic.
"Burning down the mayor's house was awesome?" She questioned.
Natsu was too busy laughing at the memory to hear it though.
He finally settled down and grinned a toothy smile.
"Lets do that again Luce.."

Will be beside you and ask you to do it again

Friends will have to be told not to tell a secret...
But best friends...

"You published a book?!' Natsu said shocked at the blonde's action.
"Yes but don't tell anyone yet please." Lucy begged.
"Maybe it was a bad idea.." She thought. "It's suppose to be a surprise though...so maybe he understood.."
She looked up to see Natsu.
"Please don't tell anyone." She begged again. Natsu simply grinned.
"Tell anyone what?" He answered.
Lucy smiled softly.
"Arigato Natsu..."

Won't have to be told not to tell..

Best friends will protect you...
But best friends...

Lucy winced as she tried to stand.
"Lu-chan hurry up!" Levy called.
Lucy heard the big footsteps behind her and tried to crawl away.
"Damn it my ankle is broken so I can run." She whispered.
The footsteps came closer and closer until....
A loud slam was heard.
Lucy tuned to see Natsu.
He turned around and picked her up.
"C'mon Luce we're not letting them beat us to the safe zone are we?"
Lucy stared at him in awe.
"Natsu.."

Will protect you with their life...

Friends will only be around for a while...
But best friends...

Lucy frowned as she looked at a picture of the guild.
"I had to retire anyways..." She mumbled.
"I guess there's no more missions or.." Lucy fell to her bed.
"I can believe the guild was disbanded."
All her friends wet there own ways..
Mira went with Markov & Erza...
Gray left with Juvia....
Levy is a owner if a library...
"Luce!" Lucy looked up and saw Natsu and happy smiling at her.
Lucy smiled softly and got up.
"At least I still have my best friends.."

Will stick with you no matter what...
