"B, the swelling already went down. Come on, try speaking," Piper said as she stood in front of me, hands in her waist and an eyebrow raised.
I shake my head, scared for what I would hear.
"B?" Piper glares at me, trying to scare me.
"Um-um," I tried to mutter without opening my mouth.
"Talk!" Piper raises her voice and grabs the Tinky Winky stuffed toy sitting on the edge of my bed. "Talk or this ugly Teletubby gets an eyebrow!" Piper threatens Mr. Tinky Winky and grabs a marker from her table.
I gasped with eyes wide open, scared for the life of Mr. Tinky Winky.
"And guess what, B? His eyebrows won't be on fleek!" Piper adds, scaring me even more.
"No don't! Not my Mr. Tinky Winky!" I screamed as I pleaded.
"What the," Piper made a disgusted face, "You call your teletubby stuffed toy Mr. Tinky Winky?" she asks.
"Tinky Winky's a boy! He's not a girl so it won't be good to call her Miss!" I insisted, grabbing Mr. Tinky Winky from Piper's hand. As soon as I got a hold of him, I immediately hugged him.
"You know sometimes I think you're really weird," Piper says with a grimace.
"You love me anyways," I say, sticking my tongue out.
"Eww," Piper laughs. "Congrats though, your voice is back to normal," she adds, making me realize that i'm finally understandable.
"Yessss!" I raised my arms in happiness.
"Now let's go to class. It's almost 10 and you're going to be late," Piper says, grabbing my arm.
"Teka, wala akong pasok," giit ko.
"What? That's unfair," Piper pouted. May 3-hours straight class kasi siya tapos chemistry pa. That's what she gets for majoring in Chemistry. "So dito ka lang ulit until your next class?" tanong ni Piper.
"I guess?" sabi ko.
"Samahan mo nalang kaya muna si Warren ngayon?" sabi ni Piper kaya nakunot ang noo ko.
"Saan?" tanong ko.
"Just keep him company. Today's not a really good day for him," Piper says, making me even more curious.
Curious man ako, hindi ko napigilang mapaisip. Warren tried really hard to make me feel better these past few days by trying to talk to me in the same way i've been talking these past few days. I mean his nose wasn't busted up pretty bad but todo effort siya para lang magkaintindihan kami.
