The days passed quickly. One moment we were busy completing some projects, and the next we were attending Christmas parties from left to right. One thing I loved about the Christmas parties we attended was the parlor games because Lucho and I weren't just playing them, we were winning them left and right.

From the longest line, stop dance, charades, amazing race--Lucho and I brought our A-game.

Piper's even making us wear santa hats when we're together. As the nights grew colder and the days passed quickly, next thing I know it was already the day I dreaded the most... the day my friends will leave me alone.

Umiling ako at ngumiti. "Nah, lolo's picking me up two days from now," pagsisinungaling ko.

"Love you P, say hi to your fam for me," sabi ko sabay yakap sa kanya. I'm happy that she can finally see her family again but i'm going to miss her so bad.

I faked a smile long enough for the taxi to leave. Piper is the last of my friends to leave for the holiday break. And not long after, everyone else left the campus for the holiday break.

****

I woke up from my sleep and I could still see the glowing stars on my ceiling. I rolled to the other side of the bed and saw Piper's empty bed. I checked my phone and it's only 4 in the morning and yet i'm already wide awake. I got up and wore my fluffy slippers. Most days I fix myself before leaving the room but because it's holiday break and i'm all alone in our four-story dormitory, I didn't even think about washing my face or even wearing a robe.

I rarely hangout in our dorm's living room since its usually packed with girls from left to right but because all of the girls are in their own hometowns, I have the entire living room all to myself. Wearing my oversized pink shirt and really short shorts, I'm freely lying on the couch while watching Spongebob Squarepants and eating a big tub of ice cream.
