I took a deep breath and began stretching both of my legs. Tilting my neck from side to side, I raised my two arms and and tried to reach the skies. I'm getting that excited but scary feeling again. I took another deep breath. I can do this. I am a strong independent cutie and I can do this if I just believe in myself.
"Go braylee! Kayang-kaya mo yan!" Warren cheered for me but I couldn't bring myself to smile. The tension is building up inside me.
Riley walked up to me and gave gentle karate chops on my shoulder as if to massage me. "Eyes on the prize, baby B! Remember, don't let anyone take whats yours! Make them bleed!" Riley screams, getting me hyped even more.
"I will show you no mercy, Braylee Emanuel!" Lucho suddenly screams, unlike Warren and Riley, Lucho isn't cheering for me. Instead, Lucho is my opponent who's hell-bent at defeating me.
"Eyes on the prize, braylee!" sigaw muli ni Riley. "There are no rules! There's only you trying to win this so win this! Hurt them, push them, put them into coma, it's okay! Break their bones and chew them right in front of their families!" Riley adds, roaring deep like a lion possessed by a gay demon.
"Utang na loob Trip to Jerusalem lang 'to! Ba't kailangan pa kayong mag-practice?!" giit ni Piper na siyang nakaupo sa nag-iisang upuang pag-aagawan namin ni Lucho. "Mamaya may madapa na naman! I'm looking at you, Braylee!" As usual, nag-ala nanay na naman sa pagbabanta si Piper.
Before I could even answer, Fetty Waps's song suddenly stops. And then's when I knew I had to move or lose.
Lucho and I raced towards Piper like a pair of hungry wolves, cute hungry baby wolves. Piper's eyes widened, all I saw was fear in her eyes as we both lunged towards her. Piper suddenly screamed and ran away from the chair as fast as she could.
The empty chair seemed to glow in gold, as if the heavens above decided to open through the cloud and bask it's heavenly glory to the chair. Lucho and I both screamed as we went towards it.
All of a sudden, Lucho and I are both in the cold floor, screaming in pain. The plastic chair broke as we both jumped at it at the same time.
"Yan na nga bang sinasabi ko!" Piper screamed like an angry mom so right away, Lucho and I stood up as fast as we could while trying to hide the pain.
"We're okay!" sabi ni Lucho sabay akbay sa akin at napaakbay din ako pabalik sa kanya. "Braylee and I will surely win every parlor game sa mga christmas party!" pagmamalaki ni Lucho kaya tumango-tango rin ako at bumungisngis kahit pa deep inside sobrang sakit ng ankle ko at sobrang lakas ng kabog ng dibdib ko sa takot na baka nabalian ako ng buto.
