book: Murder on the Orient Express

author: Agatha Christie

blurb: What more can a mystery addict desire than a much-loathed murder victim found aboard the luxurious Orient Express with multiple stab wounds, thirteen likely suspects, an incomparably brilliant detective in Hercule Poirot, and the most ingenious crime ever conceived?

review: I have been wanting to read this book ever since I read 'And then there were none' which I read last year, and I really want to see the film. I love a good thriller/ mystery novel just because I love trying to work out who did it.

As with all Christie books that I've read, my mind was racing the whole time trying to think of some obscure motive someone would have for killing him. And I have to say I was rather disappointed by the actual outcome. It just felt really forced, and how did Poirot guess all of that from no evidence? It just felt like it was a forced moment at the end to shock the reader - it felt a like a cop out.

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed it and I can't wait to see the film but it wasn't quite the ending I was hoping for.
