book: Dear Amy

author: Helen Callaghan

blurb: Margot Lewis is the agony aunt for The Cambridge Examiner. Her advice column, Dear Amy, gets all kinds of letters - but none like the one she's just received:

Dear Amy,
I don't know where I am. I've been kidnapped and am being held prisoner by a strange man. I'm afraid he'll kill me.
Please help me soon,
Bethan Avery

Bethan Avery has been missing for years. This is surely some cruel hoax. But, as more letters arrive, they contain information that was never made public. How is this happening? Answering this question will cost Margot everything . .

review: So today I'm doing a kind of 16-hour reading day, but I'm not doing massively well because I've only just finished this book now, but I don't really care because this book was FREAKING INSANE.

So I love a good kidnapping thriller, I would say that these are my favourite books to read about, and this was no exception. This book was scary, to the point where I just started skim reading pages because I was too scared about what was happening and I needed to know what would happen. There was so much tension and suspense the whole time, and my heart was racing like crazy.

Also, the story arc for this book is really clever, and I've never read a book quite like this before. Let's just the day the plot twist came out of nowhere and I loved it. I thought it was so interesting and really added a new element to the book.
